Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum Review

Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum Review

Welcome to my new blog post! This time, I want to discuss the Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum. This serum claims to restore an even tone, target dark spots, illuminate the complexion, and combat the signs of ageing while firming and plumping the skin. Does it deliver on those promises? Let’s find out.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum

Inside the formula, you will find 15% THD Ascorbate, a stable and oil-soluble form of vitamin C (a vitamin C derivative). Derivatives are gentler on the skin but slightly less effective. However, they are more stable and less likely to cause irritation. Vitamin C offers many benefits for the skin, including its ability to even out skin tone, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, combat dullness, dark spots, and discolouration, while instantly boosting brightness, and luminosity. It also provides antioxidant protection and boosts collagen synthesis.

The formula also contains a blend of emollients to soften and moisturise the skin, while a phytosterol complex helps reduce the appearance of redness and provides hydration. Additionally, a blend of humectants, including acetamidoethoxyethanol, glycerin, and saccharide isomerate, hydrates the skin, while glycolic acid refines skin texture.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum has a milky lotion-like texture. Although I typically prefer water-based vitamin C serums, this product works well for my skin, so I tend to use it during colder months due to its thicker texture. The serum feels a little bit sticky upon application, but that goes away in a few minutes. Additionally, it doesn’t pill when layered with other products and feels comfortable on the skin.

The serum has a citrusy scent, which may be too strong for some. I’m not a fan of this smell, but it is tolerable for me.

For reference, I have thin, combination skin that doesn’t tolerate L-ascorbic acid serums well. Thankfully, the Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum contains a stable vitamin C derivative that is less likely to irritate the skin. As a result, this serum didn’t cause breakouts or a rash. As mentioned earlier, it’s gentle yet effective.

Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum makes my skin feel brighter, more glowy, and helps to even out my tone. My skin looks firmer and plumper, and it feels soft and hydrated. Although I don’t have issues with hyperpigmentation or scars, this serum really helps to fade my post-acne dark spots and keeps my skin clear.

Sunday Riley CEO. 15 Vitamin C Brightening Serum Review

To sum it up, I thoroughly enjoy using the Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Serum, and I notice a visible difference in my skin. I believe this serum is ideal for my skin during the colder months, and I’ll definitely repurchase it.
