Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Body Oil Review
Hi everyone! I’m bringing you another review, and this time, it’s all about the Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Body Oil. As a big fan of the SDJ Beija Flor range, I was really excited about this launch and couldn’t resist giving it a go. That said, let me share my experience with you.
The formula features a blend of emollients, including sunflower oil, olive oil, macadamia oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, acai oil, cacay seed oil, and squalane, to moisturise and soften the skin. To further boost hydration, amaranthus extract, acai oil, and barley extract help lock in moisture, while microalgae extract tones and hydrates, leaving the skin feeling refreshed. The Guaraná Caffeine+ Complex™, containing guarana extract, muirapuama extract, and jabuticaba extract, helps stimulate microcirculation and provides antioxidant protection. Wheat extract and barley extract support the repair of the skin’s natural barrier.
The Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Body Oil has a lightweight texture. It absorbs into the skin really well without feeling sticky or greasy, leaving behind a lovely scent.
It comes in a handy pump bottle, making application quick and easy. What’s more, the bottle features a silicone base, which makes it comfortable to hold and helps prevent it from slipping on bathroom surfaces. As someone who uses body oil regularly, I have to give credit to the thoughtful design of this bottle, it’s a small detail that makes a big difference.
I use Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Body Oil on slightly damp skin after a shower to help lock in moisture, leaving my skin hydrated without a greasy feel. Once applied, the oil leaves my skin feeling very soft, moisturised, and firmer.
The standout feature of all SDJ products is their fragrances. So, when it comes to the Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Body Oil, you’re primarily buying it for the scent rather than for hydration. The body oil is infused with the Cheirosa 68 fragrance, which happens to be my favourite of all the brand’s scents. It features sweet floral notes of jasmine, pink dragonfruit, lychee, and vanilla, with a hint of musk. I absolutely love this scent, though it’s more subtle than the Beija Flor Elasti-Cream and doesn’t linger for very long. However, you can pair it with the cream or a mist to make the fragrance last longer and be more noticeable.
Overall, I really enjoy using the Sol de Janeiro Beija Flor Elasti-Body Oil, and I can’t get enough of its fragrance. Also, I love that SDJ is releasing more body oils with different fragrances, and I’d be happy to try all of them.
