GISOU Hydrating Cleanse & Care Set
Upon seeing the Hydrating Cleanse & Care Set from Gisou, I knew I had to add it to my beauty wishlist. While I was already a fan of their hair oil, I was also interested in exploring Gisou’s other products too. This set was a good option for me to try out the shampoo, the mask, and the conditioner before committing to buying the full-size products.
Gisou Honey Infused Hair Wash Shampoo
Gisou Honey Infused Hair Wash Shampoo is a mild colour safe shampoo, enriched with honey, glycerin, hydrolyzed pea protein, argan oil, panthenol, sunflower seed oil, hydrolyzed baobab extract, and amino acids. As I know, Gisou has recently revamped the formula of this shampoo. The Gisou Honey Infused Hair Wash Shampoo is still a sulfate-free shampoo that offers a gentle cleansing experience and produces a mild lather. However, the lathering can be improved by shaking the bottle before use, or by rubbing a handful in your palms to create a white and foamy lather.
This shampoo effectively cleanses the hair without causing dryness, leaving it feeling clean, soft, and nourished. After using it for a few weeks, my hair looks extra healthy, and I’ve noticed a remarkable difference in its appearance. It leaves my hair feeling clean without any stripping.
Gisou Honey Infused Hair Wash Shampoo has a delightful fragrance and works well as a standard cleansing shampoo. However, if you have particular hair concerns, you may want to consider using a different product. As for me, with my thin/fine hair and oily scalp, I find that Gisou Honey Infused Hair Wash Shampoo is suitable for daily use.
Gisou Honey Infused Conditioner
Gisou Honey Infused Conditioner is a lightweight nourishing conditioner that is better suited for thin hair IMO. The formula is enriched with honey, almond oil, panthenol, shea butter, argan oil, coconut oil, creatine, conditioning agents, and antistatics. The conditioner has a pleasant scent and texture, but, in full honesty, I did not notice any significant difference compared to other conditioners. It provides some moisture to the hair without weighing the hair down. For me, that’s where the pros end.
The Gisou Honey Infused Conditioner definitely provides a luxurious experience. Its sweet scent lingers for a few hours, setting it apart from ordinary conditioners. The fragrance is exquisite, with subtle floral and honey notes that leave a pleasant aroma (although I find it to be more floral than honey).
Gisou Honey Infused Hair Mask
Gisou Honey Infused Hair Mask is a reparative hair mask enriched with honey, sunflower seed oil, panthenol, coconut oil, maracuja oil, baobab oil, hydrolyzed wheat protein, conditioning agents, and antistatics. Made without silicones.
The Gisou website suggests that you can use Gisou Honey Infused Hair Mask in 3 different ways:
- Pre-shampoo treatment: Apply the mask to dry hair and leave it on for an hour before rinsing it out in the shower.
- Overnight Treatment: For a more intensive treatment, apply the mask alone or mix it with 2-3 drops of the Honey Infused Hair Oil for extra moisture to damp or dry hair, starting from the mid-lengths to the ends. Allow the product to absorb overnight and rinse it off completely with cool water the next morning. This treatment can be done 1-2 times per week for optimal results.
- Post-shampoo: Wash your hair with shampoo. Then apply a generous amount to damp or dry hair, starting from mid-lengths to ends. Leave it on for an additional 5-7 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cool water.
The Gisou Honey Infused Hair Mask has a thick and creamy consistency, and it features the same signature fragrance found in the rest of the brand’s product line. If you’re already a fan of Gisou’s products, you’ll likely enjoy the scent of this mask as well. Personally, I find the fragrance to be quite pleasant and lovely.
Hair masks have become my go-to hair care solution, especially after using a purple shampoo that leaves my hair feeling excessively dry. I use Gisou Honey Infused Hair Mask in place of my regular conditioner while taking a shower. It spreads effortlessly and leaves my hair feeling noticeably softer and more manageable when I comb through it.
This product has worked wonders on my hair! Not only did it leave my hair smelling delightful, but it also provided exceptional moisture without making it greasy. I was initially concerned about its thickness and the potential for weighing my hair down, but thankfully, it did not! Additionally, it was very easy to wash out, making it an ideal hair care product for me.
My hair has been transformed since I started using Gisou – it feels much smoother and healthier. I have noticed that my hair also looks bouncier and more lustrous, and the softness is simply amazing. I am extremely impressed with the Gisou Hair Mask and plan to use it regularly from now on. It has won me over, and I can confidently say that I am officially sold! I will definitely be repurchasing it in the future.
Gisou Honey Infused Leave-In Conditioner
Gisou Honey Infused Leave-In Conditioner is a lightly hydrating leave-in conditioner with baobab oil, argan oil, hydrolyzed baobab extract, hydrolyzed wheat protein, honey, conditioning agents, and antistatics. Made without silicones.
I love this leave-in product. I generally apply leave-in conditioners only when my hair is damp, so I used 2 to 4 sprays on my damp hair after showering. This product is lightweight and creamy, and it doesn’t leave any greasy or heavy feeling. Upon giving my dry hair a light spritz, it became noticeably shinier, and smoother. The product absorbs quickly without making my hair appear flat or lifeless, and has a lovely floral scent that is not overpowering. I will definitely repurchase it again and again.
As I said, this leave-in product is great for those with easily tangled hair. I typically apply the spray and then distribute it evenly throughout my hair, which makes it easier to comb through. I have noticed that sometimes it can be a bit difficult to get the product out of though.
Overall, I believe that Gisou’s The Cleanse and Care Routine set provides a great opportunity to try the products and form an opinion about the brand. Personally I really enjoyed using the products from this set. On top of that, I have tried Gisou’s Honey Infused Hair Oil and Propolis Infused Polishing Primer, and I plan to write reviews about them in the near future.
