TATCHA Gift of Gratitude Replenishing Gift Set Review
At today’s review, I’d like to discuss the TATCHA Gift of Gratitude Replenishing Gift Set. This set is worth £131 and includes some of TATCHA’s best-selling products from their famous Dewy Skin range, which I’ve been wanting to try. As soon as I saw this set for the first time, I knew I couldn’t pass it up. So, I finally got my hands on it and am excited to share my thoughts with you.
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist
Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist is a silky, fast-absorbing, versatile facial mist which can be applied under or over makeup. It can be used as a setting spray after your makeup routine to give the skin a dewy, luminous finish or as a regular mist to provide a soothing boost of hydration. The mist is pleasure to apply. It features a solid nozzle that dispenses the product evenly. It sprays a fine mist, creating a silky cloud that gently covers a wide area. You only need to spritz it a couple of times for the entire face, so you won’t waste the product. I’ve used a lot of mists, and I have to say, that dispenser is really well made.
The product includes glycerin, hyaluronic acid, Okinawa red algae complex, squalane, camellia japonica oil, rice germ oil, and emollients to hydrate, soften, and nourish the skin. Its formula is further enriched with green tea extract, licorice root extract, ginseng extract, creeping thyme extract, Baikal skullcap extract, jujube extract, royal jelly extract, and sericin.
I love using this as a finishing mist. I tend to apply my makeup and set it with this mist. The result is a radiant and luminous skin that keeps me hydrated. It makes the skin look so dewy and hydrated and brings back life to any makeup look. However, for my combination skin, I think I will prefer to use TATCHA Luminous Dewy Skin Mist in the colder months.
Tatcha The Rice Wash
Tatcha The Rice Wash is a gentle daily cream cleanser that effectively removes impurities, leaving the skin hydrated, smooth, and comfortable without stripping it. It is very gentle, but at the same time, my combination skin feels really clean after rinsing. The cleanser does not dry or tighten my skin but leaves it comforted and smooth. I would recommend using it only as the second step of a double cleansing routine, avoiding the delicate eye area.
It has a mild flourish scent, much like the other products in TATCHA’s Dewy Skin range. I found it quite enjoyable, not overpowering or strong. However, if you’re sensitive to fragrances, it’s something to keep in mind.
The formula contains mild surfactants, Hasadei-3 anti-ageing complex, glycerin, rice powder, algae extract, hyaluronic acid. The cleanser includes tiny physical exfoliating bits, which ensure gentle exfoliation, making my skin feel exceptionally soft and smooth afterwards.
Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream
Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream is a luxurious moisturiser that drenches skin in rich, long-lasting hydration, contributing to a dewy, healthy glow. It’s worth mentioning that the cream is quite pricey, but personally, I believe this product is well worth the price. I really like everything about it. Even the packaging looks super cool, as it comes housed in a beautiful purple jar with its little golden spatula. The product has a rich, creamy texture with a lightweight yet hydrating formula. It feels thick on the hands but melts evenly into the skin. Not at all heavy or greasy.
The formula includes the Hadasei-3 complex, consisting of double-fermented Akita rice, Uji green tea, and Okinawa algae, which softens the skin and offers antioxidant protection against environmental stressors and pollution, aiding in maintaining a dewy, healthy complexion. Additionally, it’s enriched with ingredients like squalane, various emollients, humectants (such as hyaluronic acid), inositol, sericin, mallow extract, thyme extract, ginseng, Japanese rice bran extract, and algae extract.
For context, I have thin, combination skin which tends to break out with the arrival of warmer weather and during my period. The plus side was that this moisturiser did not break me out. However, I don’t think it provides enough moisture for extremely dry skin during the winter.
I primarily use Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream as a night cream. Its thick consistency is very moisturising, which is beneficial during winter. The cream provides ample moisture, and only a small amount is needed because of its thickness, allowing it to spread easily. It makes my skin feel super soft and plump, without making it oily. This product has been a savior for my wind-chapped and irritated combination skin in the cold season.
When I use Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream underneath makeup, it adds a very pretty glow. It makes applying foundation easier, helping it to glide on and blend seamlessly into the skin while maintaining a good base for makeup. This cream gives a beautiful, natural glow under makeup, achieving a dewy look without any shimmer. However, it’s worth noting that this product plays well with liquids and creams but is less effective with powders.
My overall impression of the TATCHA Gift of Gratitude Replenishing Gift Set is very positive, I believe that this set offers a great introduction to the TATCHA brand, and I’m happy with this purchase. The star product of the set for me is definitely the Dewy Skin Cream. I found it to be great for winter and I’m already planning on getting it again next year.
