Living Proof Triple Bond Complex Review
This time, I’m sharing my experience with the Living Proof Triple Bond Complex, a silicone-free and keratin-free leave-in treatment designed to repair broken bonds, strengthen the hair and provide heat protection.
It’s made with 3-D Fortifying Technology, which forms a 3-D network to help rebuild the hair, protect it against damage, and visibly strengthen it. Additionally, a blend of conditioning and detangling ingredients and film-forming agents helps condition and soften the hair, improve slip and manageability, add shine, and leave damaged hair feeling smoother, while humectants help soften the hair structure and improve flexibility.
The Living Proof Triple Bond Complex has a lightweight lotion-like texture that spreads easily through the hair. A pea-sized amount is enough for my chin-length bob, so a little goes a long way, especially as it’s meant to be used just once a week. While I usually don’t mind Living Proof’s scents, this one definitely isn’t my favourite. It’s not terrible, but it smells a little chemical and artificial, and it’s not particularly pleasant.
I apply it to towel-dried, partially air-dried hair. I brush my hair first, emulsify the product between my palms, then work it through from mid-lengths to ends with my fingers. The brand recommends leaving it for 10 minutes before applying any other treatments or stylers, then blow-drying your hair as usual. You don’t have to use heat, but it works best when heat-activated. It’s easy to fit into my haircare routine, and I have no problem layering it with my heat protectant, styling cream, hairspray and mousse.
I can’t say it gave me instant results or a wow effect, but after a few weeks, my hair started to feel smoother and stronger. I’m also seeing less hair on my brush now, and overall my hair looks healthier. My split ends look better, and my hair stays shiny for longer. I also like that it doesn’t leave my fine hair looking greasy and offers heat protection up to 450°F/232°C.
To sum it up, the Living Proof Triple Bond Complex is another great product that I totally enjoyed using. It delivers on its promises, and I’d happily recommend it.
