House of Hur Matcha Light Sun Cream Review
I’m back with another review, and this time I’d like to discuss the House of Hur Matcha Light Sun Cream, an SPF50+ sunscreen infused with matcha to help keep skin comfortable and soothed. Let’s take a quick look at whether it’s worth trying.
The formula contains ethylhexyl triazone (also known as Uvinul T 150, which provides one of the highest levels of photostable UVB protection available), bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine (also known as Tinosorb S, which provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection), methylene bis-benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol (Tinosorb M, which provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection), and diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (also known as Uvinul A Plus, which protects the skin against UVA rays).
Also, a blend of mannitol, niacinamide, panthenol, and glycerin helps keep the skin hydrated, while a blend of emollients helps soften the skin and improve spreadability. Additionally, a blend of green tea leaf water, green tea leaf extract, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), niacinamide, and cynanchum atratum extract provides antioxidant protection. Peptides (Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2 and sh-Decapeptide-5 SP) help improve skin firmness and elasticity. A blend of niacinamide, panthenol, allantoin, adenosine, green tea leaf water, and green tea leaf extract helps soothe the skin.
The House of Hur Matcha Light Sun Cream has a lightweight, lotion-like texture that sinks in quickly without leaving a white cast. It feels lovely on the skin and doesn’t leave behind any sticky or greasy residue. It layers well under makeup with no pilling and leaves a natural finish that doesn’t look too matte or too glowy.
As I’ve mentioned before, I have combination skin that tends to break out during the warmer months and around my period. The House of Hur Matcha Light Sun Cream hasn’t caused any breakouts or irritation, and it doesn’t sting my eyes. I think those with oily skin may find it moisturising enough to use on its own, without applying a day cream.
