SUQQU Signature Colour Eyes Eyeshadow 125 Hikarimai
I’m back with another review, and this time I will talk about the SUQQU Signature Colour Eyes Eyeshadow 125 Hikarimai from the new stunning Summer Collection 2023. I must confess that I’m a longtime SUQQU eyeshadow fan and have my own collection, but this limited-edition palette has truly captured my heart like no other.
The SUQQU Summer Collection 2023 draws inspiration from the mysterious brilliance of opal, with its glimmers of dancing jeweled tones that change depending on the viewing angle and movement. SUQQU says, “This palette features iridescent colours that transition from green to brown-orange, along with a matte brown for natural depth and contouring. It contains pearls with an impressive shimmer that adds a softness to the shades.”
The SUQQU Signature Colour Eyes Eyeshadow 125 Hikarimai is a limited edition palette that unveils a captivating mix of warm hues featuring various finishes such as matte, satin, shimmer, and duo-chrome. Each swatch from the palette was meticulously applied in two coats, directly on bare skin, without the use of any eyeshadow primer or base.
Hikarimai #1 is a light white and rosy shimmer sparkle shade, designed to be used as a topper, adding luminosity and sparkle to your makeup. It doesn’t have a distinct colour base and primarily imparts a wash of shimmer.
The texture of this shade is soft and creamy, making it easy to apply smoothly across the eyelid. When using a dry brush, it gives a sheer to medium intensity. However, I found that applying it directly with my fingertip and gently patting it onto the lid worked best for me. The formula lasts for about 8 hours without any fallout.
Hikarimai #2 – is a light brown with warm orange undertones and a soft matte finish. It delivers good colour payoff even with a single layer and can be built up to achieve almost opaque coverage with two layers.
The colour applies smoothly and blends effortlessly on the skin, creating a seamless look. The texture of this shade is exceptionally smooth and silky to the touch. It adheres well, even on bare skin, and applies evenly without causing any fallout during application. In my experience, it lasted well for approximately 8 hours before I noticed any noticeable fading.
Hikarimai #3 – is a “prisme green”duo-chrome. It is a medium pinkish-purple that shifts bright green. The duochrome green shade exceeded my expectations with its stunning beauty. It possesses a colour-shifting quality that changes its appearance depending on the angle, resembling the mesmerizing glow of a radiant opal basking in the warm summer light. I find myself torn, captivated by its unexpected and exceptional beauty.
In terms of performance, this eyeshadow delivers excellent colour payoff, even with just a single layer, and it can be easily built up to achieve almost opaque coverage in just two layers. It applies smoothly and adheres well, even on bare skin, resulting in a seamless and even finish. There is no fallout during application, adding to its appeal. The texture of the eyeshadow is delightfully smooth and soft to the touch. It lasts for nearly 8 hours without creasing or fading.
Hikarimai #4 – is a greyish dark brown with a satin finish. The texture is pleasingly smooth and soft. The texture of this shade is quite smooth and soft. It blends effortlessly on the skin, doesn’t look patchy, and doesn’t have the tendency to sheer out. On my skin, it wore well for about 8 hours without any signs of fallout or creasing.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the SUQQU Signature Colour Eyeshadow 125 Hikarimai comes in a white case, as opposed to the black cases of previous limited-edition palettes. The new white packaging looks truly gorgeous.
The SUQQU Signature Colour Eyes Eyeshadow 125 Hikarimai has surpassed my expectations, with its beautiful and unique colour story. The shades are surprisingly compatible, making the palette very wearable for various occasions, allowing for versatile day and evening makeup looks. Without a doubt, this palette has become one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes from the brand.
