Sunday Riley B3 Nice 10% Niacinamide Serum Review
In today’s post, I’m sharing my experience with the Sunday Riley B3 Nice 10% Niacinamide Serum. This highly concentrated niacinamide serum is designed to improve uneven skin tone and texture, support the skin barrier, and balance oil production. Being a big fan of niacinamide, I was very interested in trying this product, and here are my thoughts.
Inside the formula, you’ll find 10% niacinamide to help reduce excess sebum production, support the skin’s barrier, brighten and even out the appearance of skin. Resveratrol brightens the skin, supports collagen content, and protects against free radical damage. It also contains a blend of antioxidants like EGCG, pomegranate extract, neem extract, red seaweed extract, eggplant extract, turmeric extract, and a trio of tetrahydrocurcuminoids. Brightenyl® (diglucosyl gallic acid) brightens the skin, protects it, and helps prevent inflammation. Additionally, it includes asiaticoside, madecassoside, and calendula extract to soothe the skin, along with a blend of emollients, aloe extract, coccinia extract, argan oil, and betaine to soften and hydrate.
Sunday Riley B3 Nice 10% Niacinamide Serum has a lightweight, watery texture that’s easy to apply. It absorbs quickly and feels comfortable on the skin without a greasy feeling. It works well with other products and wears nicely under makeup.
The product was a light purple colour when I first opened it, but it oxidised and turned brown over time. I reached out to Sunday Riley, and they said this was normal and safe to use. They mentioned that it’s common for the colour to change over time. I’d feel more confident if the product included an expiration date and if the Sunday Riley website provided an explanation for the colour change, confirming that it doesn’t affect the product’s safety or effectiveness. And personally, I believe that product oxidation usually indicates a loss of potency.
The serum had almost no smell when I first opened it. However, after it oxidised, it began to smell slightly unpleasant, but the scent didn’t last once applied.
Niacinamide is a hero ingredient of mine, and I’ve included it in my morning routine for years, seeing noticeable results. It brings countless benefits to my combination skin. While most niacinamide serums on the market are around 5% concentration, Sunday Riley’s formula comes in at 10%, which can feel a bit intimidating at first. Skin doesn’t always tolerate higher concentrations of niacinamide and may experience mild flushing and a sense of heat. More isn’t always better, as niacinamide has been proven effective even at concentrations as low as 3-5%.
With consistent, once-daily use, my skin looked clearer and more even-toned. Sunday Riley B3 Nice 10% Niacinamide Serum left my skin hydrated, reduced redness, and improved overall texture. I also noticed a slight reduction in oil production, and it helped to fade marks left from spots.
To sum it up, I’ve enjoyed using the Sunday Riley B3 Nice 10% Niacinamide Serum. The product is really doing its job and makes a difference in my skin. However, I did encounter a couple of issues, such as the colour and scent changing over time, so it didn’t end up being my favourite niacinamide serum.

I really enjoy that product, especially when used in conjunction with Allies of Skin Retinal on top. I didn’t experience any issues with the color, the serum was brown right from the first use.
