In this review, I’d like to talk about Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser. This is a gentle cleanser with ceramides, prebiotics, postbiotics, and avocado oil designed to support and protect the skin’s moisture barrier. It has been a part of my morning routine for a while now, and here are my thoughts.
This formula features mild surfactants to gently cleanse the skin without causing dryness or irritation, along with a mix of skin-conditioning agents. It also contains prebiotics and postbiotics to help strengthen the skin barrier. Additionally, the blend of ceramides, phytosphingosine, colloidal oatmeal, and dipotassium glycyrrhizate works to reduce redness and soften the skin. It also contains a blend of hyaluronic acid (including Hyaloveil®-P, which is not easily washed off due to its adsorptive function), mannose, and avocado extract to soften the skin and reduce moisture loss. The formula is further enriched with avocado oil and moringa seed oil to moisturise, nourish, and protect the skin.
Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser has a gel-cream texture that creates a light, gentle lather and rinses off without leaving any residue. I use it as the second step in my double-cleansing routine or as a morning cleanser. Plus, a little goes a long way, as only a pea-sized amount is needed.
The cleanser has a pleasant, subtle scent resembling avocado, which is barely noticeable.
I wouldn’t say it leaves my skin hydrated, but it doesn’t dry it out or leave it feeling tight or stripped, which is exactly what I look for in a cleanser. It leaves my face feeling soft and thoroughly clean, without that squeaky feeling. I’m really happy with this cleanser—it feels gentle and soothing on my skin, just what I need during the colder months.
To sum up, I really enjoy using the Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser. Over the past few years, I’ve tried several products from the brand, and most of them have worked well for my skin, so it’s become one of my favourite skincare brands.
