For today’s review, I want to talk about the Elemis Pro-Collagen Green Fig Cleansing Balm. I’ve been using Elemis cleansing balms for years, and since I’m also a big fig scent lover, I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of this product. Now that I’ve finally got my hands on this long-awaited fig balm, I’m happy to say that I absolutely love it and am ready to share with you my initial impressions.
This formula is much akin to the original. Blending sweet almond oil, elderberry oil, borage oil, oat kernel oil, wheat germ oil, shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, emollients, waxes, and emulsifiers, the formula offers a luxuriously soft texture, making the balm exceptionally pleasant to use. Additionally, with the inclusion of padina pavonica extract, the skin is left feeling soft, hydrated, and beautifully luminous.
The texture of the Elemis Pro-Collagen Green Fig Cleansing Balm is incredibly luxurious. It begins as a buttery balm that melts into an oil when it comes into contact with dry skin, making it easier to apply. I like to take this moment to give myself a facial massage during the process. After adding some water, the oil transforms into a gentle cleansing milk that completely dissolves makeup. It rinses off easily, leaving no oily residue, or it can be wiped away with a cloth.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Green Fig Cleansing Balm melts makeup off with remarkable ease, including resistant mascara, while being gentle to the eyes. And it doesn’t dry out my skin, leaving it soft, hydrated and refreshed. It’s the perfect start to my double cleansing routine. Plus, a little goes a long way, as only a pea-sized amount is needed.
I’m a fan of all Elemis cleansing balms, but Green Fig truly stands out to me. It boasts a Mediterranean aroma, melding the earthy essence of fig with the subtle tones of raspberry and bergamot, all without an overpowering sweetness. The scent is gorgeous and profoundly relaxing – the perfect indulgence to wrap up the day.
Overall, I’m in love with the new Elemis Pro-Collagen Green Fig Cleansing Balm and its divine scent. It’s a limited edition release, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Elemis will make it a permanent addition to the range of their cleansing balms because it has become my favorite one!
