In today’s post, I want to share my experience with the Dr Dennis Gross Skincare DermInfusions Plump and Repair Lip Treatment. This lip treatment promises to visibly plump and define lips, enhance their natural colour, and restore their moisture barrier. Does the product deliver on its promises? Let’s dive in and find out!
The formula includes coconut oil, squalane, avocado oil, waxes, and emollients to provide deep moisture and soften dry, chapped lips. A blend of hyaluronic acid (with four molecular weights) and trehalose supports long-lasting hydration. Additionally, bisabolol, centella asiatica extract, milk thistle extract, and ectoin soothe, strengthen, repair, and protect the lips. Enriched with antioxidants such as portulaca extract, apple extract, and watermelon extract, the formula helps protect the skin from environmental stressors. A blend of polymers, tribehenin, and glucomannan conditions the skin and helps prevent water loss, with tribehenin also aiding in gloss.
The formula also contains a peptide complex (Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1) to boost lip volume, hydration, and softness while improving the appearance of sagging. Additionally, benzyl nicotinate, a rubefacient, stimulates blood circulation, giving a sensation of warmth and achieving fuller lips that persist for 60-90 minutes.

At the same time, it’s the most effective lip plumper I’ve tried, delivering the most noticeable results. The effect doesn’t last all day, it lasts for a few hours and requires reapplication. IMO this treatment is also a great option for those looking for a non-invasive way to achieve fuller-looking lips for an event or special day.
When using it, I feel a slightly tingling sensation about a minute after application, but it’s not irritating. It’s important to apply the product directly to your lips, staying within the natural lip border as instructed on the package. Going beyond that may cause redness and itching, as you can see on my skin in the photo below. I made this photo right after the swatch I did in the photo above. With this product, a little goes a long way. You only need a small amount to achieve good results on your lips.

It has a glossy finish, so if you don’t like a wet-lip look, you probably won’t like this either. You can use it as a primer under lipstick or with tinted products. Personally, I see it more as a long-lasting hydrating lip treatment than a plumper. I absolutely love how smoother and softer my lips feel after just one week of use. In fact, I find myself reaching for this more often than my lip balm since its hydrating effect lasts for hours.
