Virtue Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner Review
Today, I’d like to share my thoughts on the Virtue Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner. The Virtue Recovery line works to repair and restore damaged hair, helping to heal the effects of heat styling, chemical treatments, and colouring. I really love the brand, and this duo is one of my favourites.
Virtue Recovery Shampoo
Virtue Recovery Shampoo – a shampoo with a gentle, sulphate-free, colour-safe formula that protects and repairs damaged hair. Although it’s designed for chemically treated, dry, or damaged hair, it can be used on any hair that needs extra care. The shampoo has a rich, creamy texture with a slight sparkle that won’t leave a shimmer on your hair. It lathers well and washes off easily. Only a quarter-size amount is enough for each wash, so a little goes a long way.
The Virtue Recovery line has a lovely fragrance, described as a “blend of fresh woods and clean citrus.” Personally, I found this scent sweet, with a hint of vanilla, which is pleasant and not overpowering.
Virtue Recovery Shampoo contains Alpha Keratin 60ku®, a protein nearly identical to that naturally found in our hair, skin, and nails. It strengthens and repairs hair from the inside out. The formula also includes gentle surfactants and conditioning agents. Additionally, it features a blend of hydrolysed quinoa and grapefruit extract, which helps retain moisture and enhance shine.
Virtue Recovery Shampoo works well on my thin, coloured hair. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it greasy any faster. After rinsing, my hair feels clean but not squeaky clean, with no signs of dryness. It leaves my hair looking glossy and feeling soft. It also does a great job of smoothing my hair, making it easier to manage. Plus, it hasn’t caused any itchiness or dandruff for me.
Virtue Recovery Conditioner
Virtue Recovery Conditioner – a conditioner designed to repair damaged hair while softening, enhancing shine, and improving manageability. It has a creamy texture that spreads evenly and rinses out easily. Like the shampoo, just a small amount is enough to cover all your hair. Additionally, it has the same lovely fragrance.
This product’s formula features Alpha Keratin 60ku®, Virtue’s exclusive protein that strengthens and repairs hair from the inside out. It also includes a mix of conditioning and detangling agents, such as silicone-based polymers, along with panthenol, trehalose, xylitol, rice bran extract, shea butter, hydrolysed adansonia digitata seed extract, sunflower extract, moringa extract, rice extract, rice seed protein, and hydrolysed linseed extract to strengthen and soften each strand.
A blend of chia seed extract, hydrolysed quinoa, and grapefruit extract enhances hair strength and shine. Amaranth extract, French oak tree extract, artichoke extract, green tea extract, and brown algae extract work together to soften and protect hair from damage. The formula is further enhanced with Crodasone™ for additional protection against damage from everyday styling and to repair hair cuticle damage. Additionally, a blend of asiaticoside, madecassoside, pea extract, and rosemary extract promotes scalp health, encourages hair growth, and strengthens the hair.
Virtue Recovery Conditioner leaves my hair incredibly soft, manageable, and shiny. With my oily scalp, I love that both products don’t make my hair heavy or greasy and don’t weigh it down. I don’t use this conditioner with every wash, but when my hair needs intense hydration, it works perfectly.
As I’ve already mentioned on my blog, I’m a huge fan of Virtue hair products, which work wonders on my hair. The Recovery line is no exception, although I do wish it were cheaper.
