Ultra Violette Preen Screen SPF 50+ Reapplication Mist Review
At today’s review, I want to share my thoughts on the Ultra Violette Preen Screen SPF 50+ Reapplication Mist. This is an SPF50 mist designed for reapplying SPF throughout the day without messing up makeup. Let’s take a closer look at this product.
Ultra Violette Preen Screen SPF Mist 50+ uses mostly new generation filters: diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (also known as Uvinul A Plus, which protects the skin against UVA rays), Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine (also known as Bemotrizinol, which covers the whole UVB and UVA range), and Ethylhexyl Triazone (also known as Octyltriazone, which provides one of the highest levels of photo-stable absorption among UVB filters). Combining these new generation filters with Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (also known as Octinoxate, which helps protect the skin against UVB rays) makes Octinoxate more stable.
The formula also contains antioxidants: vitamin C, vitamin E, and green tea extract. It is also enriched with a blend of hyaluronic acid, aloe extract, and emollients to soothe the skin and help retain moisture. Additionally, a blend of bisabolol, niacinamide, and aloe extract works to soothe the skin while boosting the skin’s barrier strength.
The Ultra Violette Preen Screen SPF50+ Reapplication Mist Skinscreen has ethanol in its formulation, providing a quick-drying and weightless feel on the skin. Therefore, there is a smell of alcohol once sprayed, but it quickly fades.
I’ve been struggling to find a good product to top up my sunscreen during the day. I’ve tried sticks, powders, cushions, and aerosol sprays, but none of them have given the desired results. However, the Ultra Violette Preen Screen SPF50 Mist Skinscreen does. It feels more like a setting spray, such as Urban Decay Setting Spray. The nozzle distributes a very fine mist, not splattery or blotchy, providing good coverage without the need to rub it in. It makes reapplication quick and easy without ruining my makeup.
The mist is intended as a reapplication product, so it should be used on top of regular SPF, rather than replacing it. When you need to reapply sunscreen, shake the can, then close your eyes, hold the mist about 20cm away from your face, and spray it in the shape of an “X” or “T”. After that, keep your eyes closed for a few seconds to let it dry and settle down.
The Ultra Violette Preen Screen SPF50+ Reapplication Mist Skinscreen doesn’t feel sticky or tacky on the skin, doesn’t sting my eyes, and leaves no white residue. Additionally, it works over makeup without ruining it. The spray doesn’t disturb my foundation or other makeup and dries very quickly.
Ultra Violette Preen Screen SPF50 Reapplication Mist gives a natural glow to the skin without any shimmer. It feels like nothing on the skin, and even when reapplying throughout the day, my face never feels greasy or tacky. If your skin is on the oily side or you prefer a matte finish, a bit of powder applied once it dries can help achieve the perfect look.
I found Ultra Violette Preen Screen™ SPF50 Reapplication Mist to be a really great product for top up my sunscreen on the go. It’s easy to use and handy to carry around for reapplication when needed. I will definitely repurchase it in the future.
