Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm in Vanilla Review
This time, I’d like to discuss the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm in Vanilla. This award-winning product hydrates the lips while boosting their shine and can be used throughout the day or as an overnight lip mask. Out of the seven available flavours, I chose the Vanilla one, and here are my thoughts.
The formula includes shea butter and murumuru seed butter to soothe, relieve, and moisturise dry lips. It also contains vegan “mineral” waxes (specifically petroleum-based wax and hydrocarbon wax) to soften the lips, enhance the texture and consistency of the product, and boost shine. Additionally, it is enriched with hyaluronic acid for deep hydration and skin plumping, complemented by a blend of conditioning agents.
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm has a thick and buttery texture that is beautifully smooth without feeling greasy or sticky. It melts instantly upon contact with the skin and glides effortlessly across the lips. The product has a subtle, warm vanilla scent, which I found absolutely delightful. The balm doesn’t have that overwhelming artificial vanilla scent disliked by many. Instead, it offers a light natural vanilla scent.
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm for Hydration & Shine comes in a soft matte tube, complete with a flexible silicone applicator, making the application process incredibly easy and smooth.
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm in Vanilla has a sheer nude shade with the shine of a lip gloss. The balm can easily replace transparent lip gloss, additionally, it moisturises lips and doesn’t feel sticky like a lip gloss. This lip balm is versatile for any time and occasion. You can wear it under lipstick, on top of a lip tint, with just a lip liner or alone for a minimal makeup look.
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm moisturises my lips very well, leaving them incredibly soft and smooth. They look plump and glossy, similar to having used a plumping lip gloss, yet without the uncomfortable tingling sensation. The effect lasts for hours, similar to other lip butter balm products. As it wears off, it leaves my lips very soft, without any peeling or dryness whatsoever.
The balm can be used as an overnight mask, but it doesn’t work wonders compared to my regular lip balms from Lanolips and Laneige. Therefore, I can see myself using Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm during summer when my lips are less dry.
To sum it up, I’m happy that I gave the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm a try, and I’m pleased with this product. I found it to be a beautiful lip balm that makes my lips look gorgeous.
