This time, I want to share my thoughts on the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Body Firmeza Oil. It’s a luxury body oil with a lovely fragrance I’ve been keen to try since its launch. Let’s delve into the details and find out if it’s worth the investment.
The formula contains a blend of emollients, including sunflower oil, olive oil, macadamia oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, acai oil, and squalane, to moisturise and soften the skin. The Guaraná Caffeine+ Complex™ (featuring guarana extract, muirapuama extract, and jabuticaba extract) stimulates microcirculation and boosts the skin’s antioxidant supply. A blend of antioxidants, such as amaranthus extract and barley extract, moisturises the skin, while wheat extract and barley extract help to promote the replenishment of the skin’s protective barrier. Microalgae extract tones and hydrates the skin.
I found that the oil has a lightweight texture. Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Body Firmeza Oil quickly sinks into my skin without leaving a greasy or sticky feeling after application. My body needs extra care during the winter months, so I use body oils and body butters almost every day in winter. Once applied, the oil leaves my skin feeling very soft and moisturised. Moreover, I do notice that my skin feels tighter when I use body oils. Bum Bum Oil is no exception, it makes my skin feel firmer.
The oil’s packaging not only looks luxurious but also very convenient to use. It comes in a wide glass bottle with a pump for easy dispensing and a secure cap that prevents product leaking. Additionally, the bottle has a silicone lining on its base, making it comfortable to hold in one hand and ensuring it won’t slip during application. As a regular body oil user, I can’t help but applaud the bottle’s design.
Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Body Firmeza Oil features the brand’s signature Cheirosa 62 fragrance, a sweet blend of pistachio, vanilla, salted caramel, and sandalwood. The same delicious scent as the Bum Bum Cream but more subtle. It’s pretty popular and well-loved by many, although it’s not my favourite among SDJ’s fragrances. The scent lingers on the skin for hours.
I’ve really enjoyed using the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Body Firmeza Oil, and I love everything about it except the price. It’s become one of those luxurious body care products I repurchase every once in a while to treat myself. So, if you love using body oils and Sol de Janeiro’s fragrances, I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
