Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Serum Body Cream Review
I’m back with another review and this time I’m sharing my thoughts on the Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Serum Body Cream. It’s a luxurious body cream with a divine scent of almond and coconut that I’ve been a fan of for a long time. So, let’s get started and learn more about this product.
The formula, enriched with shea butter, borago oil, plum seed oil, squalane, red algae extract, olive leaf extract, glycerin, and emollients, aims to deeply nourish and hydrate the skin, as well as to help restore its elasticity.
The Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Serum Body Cream has a luxuriously smooth texture and provides excellent hydration for my skin. Despite appearing thick, it’s not greasy or heavy-duty. The cream absorbs quickly avoiding any sticky or tacky sensation. Moreover, you don’t need to use a lot, a little goes a long way.
This body cream has a subtle, pleasant scent without being overpowering. To my nose, the main note is almond, but coconut is also quite noticeable. It’s fresh, slightly sweet, yet milky. The scent doesn’t last long and fades away after a few hours.
I’ve always been a big fan of this line, and this is my third Almond Coconut body cream. Over the years, the cream has undergone several revamps, always retaining its high quality. However, this latest reformulation is distinctly different from the previous versions. The fragrance, for one, is now less intense, which seems to be an effort by the brand to make the product more versatile, considering the smell was a bit too overpowering for some. For me, though, this is a downside.
The texture is definitely thicker now. Yet, the cream still absorbs well into the skin and provides good hydration. Additionally, the tub size has been reduced by 100ml, but Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Serum Body Cream is being sold for the same price as before.
Even though I’m not very happy with the recent relaunch, I still enjoy using Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Serum Body Cream, mostly because I absolutely love its fragrance. However, I’m not rushing to repurchase it anytime soon.
