LANEIGE Bouncy and Firm Eye Sleeping Mask Review
In this review, I want to take a closer look at the LANEIGE Bouncy and Firm Eye Sleeping Mask, an overnight hydrating eye treatment that promises to depuff and firm the skin around the eyes. Let’s dive into its performance and find out whether it’s worth trying or not.
The formula contains a blend of humectants, including panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), niacinamide (vitamin B3), glycerin, tryptophan (amino acid), hydrolysed collagen, and hyaluronic acid (in five different forms), to hydrate and soften the skin. Niacinamide also brightens and boosts the skin’s barrier strength.
Additionally, a blend of adenosine, cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), and dipotassium glycyrrhizate soothes the skin and protects against barrier damage, while probiotics support a healthy microbiome. A blend of cocoa extract, peony extract, and hyaluronic acid provides antioxidant protection, while caffeine enhances microcirculation and reduces puffiness. Peptides (acetyl tetrapeptide-2) improve skin firmness and elasticity and stimulate the skin’s immune defences.
The product has an almost whipped gel-like texture. It felt weightless on the skin and soaked in quickly without leaving any sticky residue. Upon application, it provides a slight cooling sensation, which I find refreshing. Additionally, a little goes a long way with this product, and this little jar lasted me quite a while.
The LANEIGE Eye Brightening Sleeping Mask has little to no scent, which I appreciate, especially since it’s an eye product.
Note that the LANEIGE Bouncy and Firm Eye Sleeping Mask should be applied as the final step of your skincare routine (the brand recommends applying it over toner, moisturiser, eye cream, or a face sleeping mask).
I didn’t notice any difference in my under-eye area after using this product for about 3 months. I used this mask with my eye cream and saw zero results, while without any eye cream, it is not hydrating enough for my under-eye area. I love the LANEIGE Bouncy and Firm Sleeping Mask and was expecting the same level of comfort and hydration. It may work for some, but unfortunately, this product did not work for me.
Overall, I didn’t become a fan of the LANEIGE Bouncy and Firm Eye Sleeping Mask, which is disappointing as I generally enjoy the brand’s products. While I absolutely love the LANEIGE Bouncy and Firm Sleeping Mask (and will definitely repurchase), this one didn’t work for me.
