Drunk Elephant Ceramighty Eye Balm Review
In today’s review, I’d like to share my experience with Drunk Elephant Ceramighty Eye Balm. This moisturising eye cream with ceramides claims to strengthen the skin barrier and restore its elasticity. Let’s dive into the details and see what this product is about.
The formula contains a blend of ceramides (3%), cholesterol, and phytosphingosine to strengthen the skin’s barrier and maintain its moisture balance. It also includes omega-rich plant oils such as marula seed oil, avocado oil, evening primrose oil, linseed oil, and chia seed oil. Additionally, it combines panthenol, adenosine, beta-glucan, and allantoin to soothe and moisturise the skin. A blend of oat kernel oil and vitamin F (linolenic and linoleic acid) soothes the skin, moisturises, and improves skin texture.
Despite being labelled an eye balm, the product has the thick, whipped texture of an eye cream, similar to the brand’s Lala Retro Whipped Cream. It glides on smoothly and feels hydrating on the skin without being sticky. A little goes a long way, as a half-pump is enough for both eyes.
Since Drunk Elephant doesn’t add fragrance to their products, the Ceramighty Eye Balm has little to no scent. I can detect a subtle earthy smell, likely from the plant oils in the formula. Personally, I don’t mind it at all.
Drunk Elephant Ceramighty Eye Balm doesn’t feel heavy on the eyes and sinks into the skin quickly. It doesn’t pill under sunscreen or makeup and leaves no residue. Unfortunately, I found it hasn’t worked wonders for my eye area and isn’t as moisturising as I expected. However, it refreshes my eyes, softens, and moisturises the skin.
The only drawback is that it makes my eyes sting if it gets too close. I’ve tried avoiding using it on my eyelids, and that does help.
I generally enjoy the brand’s products and found the Drunk Elephant Ceramighty Eye Balm to be a decent eye cream. However, this product hasn’t become a favourite of mine, as I haven’t noticed anything special considering the price, and it can sting when it gets into the eyes.
