Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua-Fresh Rice + B5 SPF50 Review
Hi everyone! In today’s review, I want to share my thoughts on the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua-Fresh Rice + B5 SPF50. I was already a fan of the original Relief Sun, so when I saw the brand was releasing a new version, I couldn’t wait to try it. So, let’s get into its overall performance.
The formula includes ethylhexyl triazone (also known as Uvinul T 150, which provides one of the highest levels of photo-stable absorption among UVB filters), drometrizole trisiloxane (also known as Mexoryl XL, which provides UVB and UVA protection), terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid (also known as Mexoryl SX, which protects the skin against UVA rays), diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (also known as Uvinul A Plus, which protects the skin against UVA rays), and bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine (also known as Tinosorb S, which covers the entire UVB and UVA range).
It also contains a blend of humectants, such as rice seed water, rice amino acids, hyaluronic acid, phytosphingosine, ceramides, inositol, glycerin, panthenol, and beta-glucan to hydrate the skin. Beta-glucan, panthenol, and oat kernel extract soothe the skin, while rice sh-oligopeptide-1 acts as an anti-aging agent. A blend of rice bran oil, ferulic acid, green tea water, artichoke extract, and oat kernel extract provides antioxidant protection. Phytosphingosine and ceramides also help replenish the skin’s barrier.
Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua-Fresh Rice + B5 SPF50+ has a lightweight, lotion-like texture that spreads easily and absorbs quickly. It works really well on my combination skin during the day without feeling greasy or heavy. It doesn’t leave a white cast and gives a soft, natural finish that’s hydrating but never greasy. This sunscreen feels so hydrating that I can skip moisturiser when using it. It also works as a great base before makeup and doesn’t pill.
This works great for my sensitive eyes. I applied it near my eyes with no stinging or watering.
The texture is perfect for my combination skin. But unfortunately, the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua-Fresh Rice + B5 SPF50+ breaks me out.
Overall, the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Aqua-Fresh Rice + B5 SPF50 doesn’t meet my expectations, so I don’t plan to repurchase it. That said, I still see it working well for others.
