Today, I’m reviewing two products from the Australian brand Uni: the Rain Body Serum and Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash. Both come in beautiful aluminium bottles with reusable pumps, and you can buy refills rather than replacing the whole bottle, which I love. But let’s see if the products themselves are actually worth picking up.
Uni Rain Body Serum
Uni Rain Body Serum has a lovely lightweight, gel-like texture that feels silky and smooth on the skin. It sinks in beautifully, leaving no sticky residue. I like to apply it after a shower with the body oil. It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated throughout the day and gives it a beautiful glow without any stickiness. I prefer something a bit more hydrating during the colder months, but this will definitely be my go-to product during the summer.
The formula contains a blend of humectants, including glycerin, aloe leaf juice, panthenol, and Uni Marine Complex, to provide long-lasting hydration. Additionally, a blend of emollient and barrier-supporting ingredients, including sea buckthorn oil, olive oil, and sodium dilauramidoglutamide lysine, helps soften the skin, reduce moisture loss, and support skin barrier function. Also, a blend of sea buckthorn oil, olive oil, Kakadu plum extract, kappaphycus alvarezii extract, fucus vesiculosus extract, durvillaea potatorum extract, and citrus aurantifolia fruit extract provides antioxidant protection.
It also has a unique scent. I can’t say I’m particularly fond of it, but I definitely find it interesting. The brand describes it as a blend of top notes of rain, grapefruit, and pollen, heart notes of mimosa, peony, and lilac, and base notes of patchouli, oakmoss, and vetiver. The fragrance is quite noticeable at first, so those who are sensitive to fragrance might want to bear that in mind. However, it fades quickly.

Uni Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash
Uni Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash has a gel texture that turns into a silky, milky lather. It contains tiny particles that provide very gentle physical exfoliation, just enough to smooth the skin without being abrasive or irritating. I really like this body wash. It leaves my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed without drying it out or stripping it. The smell isn’t very strong and is quite unisex. I know fragrance is very subjective, so it might not be for everyone, but I personally like it.
The formula contains mild surfactants to gently cleanse the skin, while olive seed powder gently exfoliates the skin. Additionally, a blend of humectants and emollients, including glycerin, red algae extract, and sea water, helps soften and condition the skin and prevent dryness. Also, a blend of kappaphycus alvarezii extract, papaya fruit extract, mango fruit extract, durvillaea potatorum extract, fucus vesiculosus extract, and alaria esculenta extract provides antioxidant protection.
