Today, I want to discuss the U Beauty Resurfacing Compound, a multitasking serum that promises to improve the appearance of the skin in a short period of time. I’ve been using it for a while, and I am ready to share my experience.
The formula contains sodium ascorbyl phosphate, a stable, water-soluble vitamin C derivative that helps even out skin tone, brighten the complexion, provide antioxidant protection, support collagen production, smooth wrinkles, improve firmness, reduce discolouration, and boost luminosity. It also includes a blend of antioxidants such as superoxide dismutase, glutathione, hyaluronic acid, tocopherol, witch hazel extract, and retinyl palmitate. A mix of AHAs (glycolic acid and mandelic acid) and PHA (lactobionic acid) provides gentle exfoliation, helping to even skin tone, tackle sun damage, and smooth fine lines and wrinkles.
It also contains retinyl palmitate (a retinol ester), although this form is considered less effective than stronger retinoids and mainly works as an antioxidant. A blend of emollients and humectants, including linolenic acid, linoleic acid, oleic acid, sunflower seed oil, aloe juice powder, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and lactobionic acid, helps to hydrate and soften the skin. The peptide N-prolyl palmitoyl tripeptide-56 acetate is included to support collagen production and improve skin texture and firmness. The formula also uses SIREN Capsule Technology to enhance absorption and deliver anti-ageing ingredients deeper into the skin.
The U Beauty Resurfacing Compound has a lightweight, gel-like texture with no noticeable scent. It feels quite sticky at first, but it absorbs quickly without being drying. The product feels comfortable on the skin and never causes me irritation or stinging. It also sits well under my moisturiser and the rest of my skincare.
This makes my skin look much brighter, refreshed, and clearer. My skin feels smoother overall, and my tone looks more even. It also helps fade my post-acne dark spots and makes any breakouts smaller. What I love most is how glowy and healthy my skin looks, especially during the autumn season.
The Resurfacing Compound might not be hydrating enough for those with dry skin, especially during winter, but it works really well with any moisturiser. I also wouldn’t consider it a true retinol product. It’s more of a gentle treatment with vitamin C and AHAs. Additionally, if your skin is used to high concentrations of vitamin C and acids, you might not find it very impressive. But if you like gentle yet effective formulas, you’ll likely see good results.
To sum it up, I’m really satisfied with the results. The U Beauty Resurfacing Compound has been working very well for my skin. The only downside is the price, but overall it’s a great product and definitely worth trying.
