Tatcha Advent Calendar 2025 Review
Today, I want to share my review of Tatcha’s first-ever Advent Calendar, featuring 12 skincare products. I’m a big fan of the brand and absolutely love the design, so I couldn’t resist picking it up. I think it’s also a nice way to try some of their products if you’re new to the brand. That said, let’s take a look at what’s inside each drawer.
Tatcha Rice Wash (50ml, worth £18.00) – a gentle daily cream cleanser that removes impurities while keeping the skin hydrated, smooth, and soft without stripping it. It’s very gentle, yet my combination skin feels thoroughly clean after rinsing. The formula contains mild surfactants, the Hadasei-3 complex, glycerin, rice powder, algae extract, and hyaluronic acid. The cleanser also contains tiny exfoliating particles that provide gentle exfoliation, leaving skin feeling exceptionally soft and smooth.
Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream (15ml, worth £26.00) – a face moisturiser that provides deep, long-lasting hydration and gives the skin a dewy, healthy glow. I really like everything about it. It feels thick when first applied but melts evenly into the skin. It’s especially good for the colder months when my skin needs extra hydration. The formula includes the Hadasei-3 complex, made with double-fermented Akita rice, Uji green tea, and Okinawa algae, which softens the skin and offers antioxidant protection, helping to maintain a radiant, healthy complexion. It’s also enriched with ingredients such as squalane, emollients, humectants (including hyaluronic acid), inositol, sericin, mallow extract, thyme extract, ginseng, Japanese rice bran extract, and algae extract.
Tatcha Matcha Cleanse (50ml) – a gel cleanser formulated to gently cleanse the skin while helping to control oil and reduce shine throughout the day. The formula is enriched with fermented rice water, glycerin, mugwort extract, Japanese Kyo-Matcha extract, mozuku seaweed extract, Japanese Coix Seed (Hatomugi), and willow bark extract. I love this cleanser. It cleans my skin really well and leaves it feeling fresh, clean, and soft. It doesn’t dry out my combination skin or leave that tight, squeaky feeling.
Tatcha Camellia Cleansing Oil (50ml) – a cleansing oil formulated with rice bran oil, camellia seed oil, fermented rice water, green tea extract, and mozuku extract. This lightweight oil-to-milk cleanser effortlessly removes makeup, including stubborn waterproof eye makeup, without leaving a greasy residue. It rinses clean and leaves my skin feeling nourished, soft, and balanced.
Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask (5g) – a leave-on lip mask that can be used during the day or overnight to plump, hydrate, and smooth the lips, restoring softness and fullness to dry, flaky skin. The formula contains squalane, camellia seed oil, peach kernel extract, citrus unshiu extract, rosehip extract, peach fruit water, palmitoyl tripeptide-1, allantoin, and the Hadasei-3 complex. I’ve wanted to try this mask for a while, so I’m happy to see it included in the advent calendar.
Tatcha Water Cream (15ml, worth £26.00) – a lightweight, oil-free gel cream formulated with glycerin, diglycerin, hyaluronic acid, lecithin, Japanese wild rose extract, the Hadasei-3™ complex, sophora root extract, blackberry lily, houttuynia extract, and gold. I really love this cream. It leaves my skin soft, hydrated, and calm without feeling heavy. It also helps even out my skin tone and never causes breakouts or irritation.
Tatcha Essence (25ml) – a skincare treatment that helps smooth, soften, and hydrate the skin for a healthy, radiant look. It’s formulated with the brand’s Hadasei-3 complex, a blend of fermented rice, green tea, and algae. The texture is light and watery with no sticky residue. I use 4-5 drops right after washing my face, and it feels really soothing and plumping.
Tatcha Dewy Serum (10ml) – a hydrating serum formulated with the Hadasei-3 complex, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, hydrolysed collagen, hydrolysed elastin, squalane, and crambe oil.
Tatcha Silk Cream (15ml, worth £38.00) – a lightweight, moisturising gel-cream that leaves the skin soft, smooth, and radiant. The formula is enriched with the Hadasei-3 complex, glycerin, silk protein (sericin), hydrolysed silk, inositol, arginine, rose extract, royal jelly extract, ginseng extract, rice germ oil, and squalane. Given all the positive reviews, I’m really interested in trying it.
Tatcha Silk Serum (10ml) – a firming face serum that helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and improve overall skin texture. It’s formulated with the Hadasei-3 complex, glycerin, squalane, sunflower seed oil, safflower seed oil, betaine, sericin, cranberry extract, sea fennel extract, mulberry extract, diglucosyl gallic acid, peptides (tetrapeptide-4), hydrolysed conchiolin protein, and hydrolysed silk. The serum feels really lightweight yet hydrating. It quickly sinks in, leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth, with a healthy glow.
Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair (15ml, worth £29.00) – serum-in-moisturiser that soothes redness and strengthens the skin barrier. The formula contains the Hadasei-3 complex, diglycerin, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, mondograss extract, Japanese indigo extract, brown algae extract, red sage extract, phytosterols, and ceramides.
Tatcha Silk Peony (5ml) – an eye cream that visibly firms and reduces the appearance of wrinkles around the eye area, leaving the skin smooth and plump. It’s formulated with the Hadasei-3 complex, squalane, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, hydrolysed silk, whey protein, inositol, sericin, Japanese white peony extract, herb robert extract, yeast ferment extract, brown algae extract, and Irish moss extract. It feels luxurious, and a little goes a long way. It leaves the eye area soft and hydrated.
