Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance Body Spray SPF 50 Review
In today’s review, I’d like to talk about the Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance Body Spray SPF 50. This is a broad-spectrum SPF 50 body spray with Cheirosa 87 fragrance. I was very excited when the brand announced its first sun care collection and immediately purchased this product upon its release. After testing it during my last holiday, I’m ready to share my thoughts with you.
The Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance Body Spray SPF 50 features the brand’s signature Cheirosa ‘87 fragrance, which I absolutely love. It’s a tropical, beachy scent with key notes of creamy coconut, tuberose, and vanilla. It reminds me of summer and gives off strong holiday vibes.
Initially, you can notice a strong alcohol smell upon spraying, but it quickly fades away, leaving a lingering Cheirosa fragrance. The scent is quite strong at first, and this might put some people off (not me because I’m a fan of fragranced body products). However, it settles down in minutes.
The scent might be overpowering if you cover your whole body at once, so I like to begin by applying it to my legs, arms, etc., and then wait a bit before continuing. But this is just my personal preference. It’s worth noting that the product still has a slight sunscreen smell, but it’s less strong.
The Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance™ SPF 50 Body Spray Sunscreen with Niacinamide features a fabulous nozzle. It sprays the product evenly and finely, making it super easy to apply and reapply throughout the day. Additionally, there is a twist lock which prevents the product from leaking when closed.
I took Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance Body Spray SPF 50 with me on my recent seaside trip, and it worked perfectly. The formula has a watery texture that feels weightless on my skin. It feels slightly sticky at first, but it dries down completely in minutes, absorbing nicely and feeling comfortable afterwards. It doesn’t leave any oily or greasy residue, and you don’t have to wait long to put on your clothes.
I tend to burn easily, and this product definitely protected my skin. I also appreciate its water resistance, which makes me feel confident when swimming or sweating in the sun. The brand recommends shaking well before use and applying the product liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. They suggest starting with a mist on the skin and then rubbing the product in, with reapplication every two hours.
All in all, I really enjoy using the Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance Body Spray SPF 50. This body spray will stay in my beach bag for the summer and will be considered for repurchase. Bravo, Sol de Janeiro!
