Today, I’d like to share my review of the Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Aluminum-Free Deodorant Cheirosa 40. It’s an aluminum-free, baking soda-free deodorant infused with the Cheirosa 40 scent that prevents odor, soothes irritation from shaving, and leaves underarms feeling softer. The formula combines coconut oil, mango seed butter, bacuri oil, papaya seed oil, and sunflower seed oil to soften and soothe the skin while promoting a strong skin barrier. Tapioca starch and arrowroot powder absorb excess moisture and sweat, keeping underarms dry. A blend of blueberry extract, lemon extract, orange extract, and sugar maple extract provides antioxidant and conditioning benefits. Additionally, papaya enzyme gently exfoliates to remove dead skin cells, helping to prevent ingrown hairs and promoting an even skin tone.
Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Aluminum-Free Deodorant Cheirosa ’40 has a creamy texture that applies easily, though it sometimes forms small balls during application. It feels moisturising, doesn’t leave yellow marks on my clothes, and washes off easily.
The Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Aluminum-Free Deodorant Cheirosa 40 has a fruity floral scent of the Cheirosa 40 fragrance, one of my favourites from the brand. It smells so lovely that I can’t believe it’s a deodorant. This fragrance is infused with notes of black amber plum, vanilla woods, and jasmine blossoms. The smell is not as strong as I expected. It isn’t overpowering and doesn’t clash with any perfume I wear.
Finding a deodorant that doesn’t clog my pores and cause pain has always been a challenge for me. I wanted one that smells lovely, lasts long, and doesn’t cause itching, and I finally found it. This deodorant has never caused any inflammation under my arms, and they stay soft without any itching or rashes.
After less than a week, my body adjusted to Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Cheirosa 40, and it started working great. It has real staying power, especially if you let it dry a bit after applying.
Deodorant has a lovely scent, and I don’t notice any funky smells during my day-to-day tasks. I don’t feel sweaty while using it, and it’s less wet than other roll-on deodorants I’ve tried. While I’m not a heavy sweater, it lasts for 5-10 hours depending on my activity level. It can be hit or miss with more intense activities. However, I’m not sure if it would hold up during a workout. This isn’t a big problem since it travels well, and you can easily reapply after a workout.
I’d also like to discuss some drawbacks of the Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Cheirosa 40. Since the deodorant has a creamy formula, it takes a bit longer to absorb. Because of this, it leaves marks on my clothes when I’m in a hurry and don’t have time to let it dry or apply a bit more product. I usually rub it in once applied, which seems to help.
One tube of Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Aluminum-Free Deodorant Cheirosa ’40 lasts me about three months and is refillable. While I love the idea of refillable deodorants, unfortunately, I’ve been unable to find refills anywhere. So, I wish beauty retailers would start selling refills sooner because repurchasing the original product seems wasteful.
Overall, I really enjoy using the Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Aluminum-Free Deodorant Cheirosa 40. It’s a decent deodorant with a long-lasting, delightful fragrance. If you’re looking for an aluminum-free deodorant, I recommend giving it a try.
