Pureology Color Fanatic Multi-Purpose Hair Spray Review

Pureology Color Fanatic Multi-Purpose Hair Spray Review

In this review, I want to talk about the Pureology Color Fanatic Multi-Purpose Hair Spray, a leave-in conditioner for colour-treated hair. I’ll share my experience with this product and whether it’s actually worth trying.

Pureology Color Fanatic Multi-Purpose Hair Spray

The formula contains a blend of detangling, anti-frizz, conditioning, and antistatic agents that help smooth the hair, improve manageability, and reduce frizz. Additionally, a blend of emollients, including coconut oil, camelina sativa seed oil, and olive fruit oil, helps improve softness and enhance shine. A blend of humectants also helps condition the hair, while xylose helps reduce heat-induced damage and support the hair fibre. Sunflower seed extract, melanin, camelina sativa seed oil, and vitamins C and E provide antioxidant protection. Benzophenone-4 helps protect the hair from UV-induced colour fading and damage, while Keravis™ (Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol) helps strengthen the hair fibre, improve resistance to breakage, and enhance manageability.

Pureology Hair Spray Review

The Pureology Color Fanatic Multi-Purpose Hair Spray has a creamy texture. You can apply it directly to your hair, or spray it into your hands first and then work it through the lengths. My biggest issue with this product is the fragrance. It has quite a strong, unpleasant smell that puts me off using it too much.

Pureology Hair Spray

I apply this to damp hair after washing with shampoo and conditioner. Then I brush it through and leave it for about 5 minutes before blow-drying. It also works as a heat protectant, protecting hair from temperatures up to 450°F.

For some context, I have fine, colour-treated hair with dry ends. The Pureology Color Fanatic Multi-Purpose Hair Spray makes my hair feel smooth, manageable, and healthy-looking. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it look greasy, as long as I don’t use too much product.

Pureology Multi-Purpose Hair Spray Review

Unfortunately, I’m not very impressed with the Pureology Color Fanatic Multi-Purpose Hair Spray. I have a few favourite leave-in conditioners that work just as well, or better, and smell far nicer. I won’t be repurchasing it.
