OUAI Leave In Conditioner Review
This time, I want to share my review of the OUAI Leave-In Conditioner. This leave-in conditioner detangles hair and protects it against heat damage. It’s been in my haircare routine for years, and I absolutely love everything about it. With that said, let’s delve into the details and find out more about this product.
The formula combines anti-frizz, detangling, conditioning, and antistatic agents for optimal hair care benefits. It features nourishing oils such as baobab oil, argan oil, and evening primrose oil, along with Vegetamide 18MEA-NJS to restore barrier structures. Additionally, a blend of amino acids provides moisture and strength to the hair. Sodium lactate, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, red algae extract, and tamarind extract work together to smooth, soften, and condition the hair.
After washing my hair with shampoo and conditioner, I spritz OUAI Leave-In Conditioner on my damp hair. Then, I comb it through and wait about 5 minutes before blow drying. The product also protects hair from heat damage up to 450°F/232°C and shields the hair from ultraviolet damage.
The product has a creamy texture, so you can either apply it directly to your hair or spray it into your hand and then apply it throughout the lengths. The only downside is that the thick texture can cause the nozzle to get clogged repeatedly. However, it can be easily cleaned.
For reference, my hair is thin, colour-treated, and damaged with dry ends. This has become my go-to leave-in conditioner. It detangles my hair really well, making it easy to brush through without causing damage. Additionally, it keeps my hair moisturised and leaves it feeling incredibly soft, smooth, and shiny without weighing it down.
One thing to note is to avoid spraying too much product, as it can leave my hair feeling a little greasy if I’ve gone overboard.
The OUAI Detangling and Frizz Fighting Leave-In Conditioner has a floral North Bondi scent with notes of bergamot, Italian lemon, white musk, rose de mai, violet, and more. I absolutely love this scent. It’s pretty strong at first, so be warned if you are fragrance-sensitive. The smell lingers in the hair well but becomes less strong after a while.
The OUAI Leave-In Conditioner has been my holy grail for years. I have gone through at least 9 bottles of this product, and I’m waiting for the jumbo size to be back in stock. It does what it promises and is quite pleasant to use.
