Heliocare 360° Water Gel SPF50 Review
Welcome back to another review! This time, I’ll briefly share my experience with the Heliocare 360° Water Gel SPF 50. Let’s take a closer look at this sunscreen and find out whether it’s worth trying or not.
Heliocare 360° Water Gel SPF50 contains octocrylene (which protects the skin against UVB rays and some UVA II rays and enhances the photostability of Avobenzone), ethylhexyl salicylate (also known as Octisalate, which protects against UVB rays), butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane (also known as Avobenzone, which protects the skin against UVA rays), phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid (also known as Ensulizole, which helps protect the skin against UVB rays and enhances the photostability of Avobenzone), diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (also known as Uvinul A Plus, which protects the skin against UVA rays), tris-biphenyl triazine (nano, also known as Tinosorb A2B, which helps protect the skin against UVB and UVA2), and ethylhexyl triazone (also known as Uvinul T 150, which provides one of the highest levels of photo-stable absorption among UVB filters).
It also contains film-forming polymers to create a water-resistant formula. Additionally, a blend of hyaluronic acid, amino acids, glycerin, polypodium leucotomos extract, physalis angulata extract, plankton extract, and melanin helps retain moisture and boosts the skin’s antioxidant supply.
The texture is liquid but not at all like a gel. It’s perfect for layering with other skincare products and works well under makeup. I find it comfortable to wear. It goes on smoothly, feels light, doesn’t pill, and leaves no white cast. While I didn’t find it particularly hydrating, that’s not something I usually expect from sunscreens.
The Heliocare 360° Water Gel SPF 50+ has a slight sunscreen smell right out of the tube that fades quickly. So, I would say it lacks any noticeable fragrance, which is a big plus for me.
Heliocare 360° Water Gel SPF50 sinks in quickly, usually within a few minutes, leaving a barely-there matte finish. While it begins with a dewy appearance upon application, it transitions to a natural matte feel once fully absorbed. It doesn’t feel greasy or sticky on the skin.
To summarize, I found the Heliocare 360° Water Gel SPF50+ to be a really good SPF that feels comfortable and does its job well. While it hasn’t become a personal favourite, it’s still a decent sunscreen that I would consider repurchasing.
