BEAUTYPRO LED Mask Device Review

BEAUTYPRO LED Mask Device Review

In today’s post, I want to discuss the BEAUTYPRO LED Mask Device. It comes with 5 LED light therapy treatments that work to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, minimise breakouts, boost collagen production, and more. Let’s take a closer look to see if it’s worth the investment.

BEAUTYPRO LED Mask Device

LED devices have been popular for quite some time now, and there are numerous studies showing the benefits of LED light therapy. So far, the only clinically proven colours are blue, red, and near-infrared. The BEAUTYPRO LED Mask (along with some other LED devices) features other colours as well, but since there is far less evidence behind them, I won’t go into detail.

Red Light

Red light has one of the most studied and well-researched wavelengths, which is 633nm. It helps reduce signs of ageing, such as fine lines and wrinkles, while also improving skin texture and elasticity by increasing collagen and elastin production.

Near-Infrared Light

The most efficient and clinically proven wavelength for near-infrared light is 830 nm. Some studies show that near‑infrared light may be more effective than red light because it penetrates deeper into the skin. Combining red and near-infrared light in LED therapy can enhance anti-ageing and skin rejuvenation results.

Blue Light

The most beneficial wavelength of blue light is 415nm. It targets acne-causing bacteria, helps reduce the appearance of blemishes, and prevents future breakouts. Studies show that it can be especially effective against mild to moderate acne, though results are limited when it comes to grade 1 acne (the mildest form of acne).

The BEAUTYPRO LED Mask has 2 additional modes with yellow light and so-called purple light:

  • The yellow light has little if any evidence of benefits compared to red, near-infrared, and blue light. In theory, it may promote cell regeneration, brighten and even out skin tone.
  • The so-called purple light is a combination of red and blue lights, so treating it as a separate light therapy is inaccurate. Combining red and blue lights helps to reduce inflammation, target acne, clear up blemishes, and improve blood circulation.

After researching LED masks and comparing specifications, I decided to try the BEAUTYPRO LED Mask. It features 432 high-intensity LEDs and fits snugly around the eyes and nose. The adjustable head straps fit comfortably around the head and stay securely in place during use, making the mask suitable for wearing while walking or standing.

While the mask is lightweight enough for walking, I personally find it most relaxing to use while lying down. The eye protection allows me to read, use my phone, or watch Netflix during treatment. This model offers five LED light options: red, infrared, blue, yellow, and purple (red+ blue).

LED Light Therapy Wavelengths

  • Red light: 630nm 35mW/cm²
  • Infrared light: 830nm 30mW/cm²
  • Blue light: 450nm 40mW/cm²
  • Yellow light: 580nm 20mW/cm²

Upon opening the box, you get the mask, eye protectors, charger, controller, 2 Velcro straps, and a dust bag. Once you switch it on with the controller, you can toggle between the 5 modes, choosing either 10, 20, or 30 minutes for each treatment. BeautyPro recommends using it 3–5 times a week, but it is safe to use this device daily. Personally, I’ve been using the BEAUTYPRO Photon LED Mask 4 times a week for the past 5 months.

The only drawback I’ve found during this time is the battery. If I use it 4 times a week for 10 minutes, it requires a quick recharge once a week. Additionally, I noticed that even after just one month, the battery started draining faster than expected.

This mask has become a regular part of my routine, and I’m really pleased with the results so far. Most of the time, I’ve been switching between blue light for blemishes and the combination of red light and infrared light every other day. My skin tone looks more even now, with noticeably less redness. It also helps soften my wrinkles and make my skin feel more bouncy. Overall, my skin is visibly clearer, with fewer spots, and looks much brighter. That said, it’s not a miracle worker and doesn’t make pimples disappear overnight, but with consistent use, it definitely helps them heal faster.

Here are some tips for using the BEAUTYPRO LED Mask device:

  • Most experts recommend using LED masks on bare skin. Start by cleansing thoroughly to remove all makeup and oil. Apply your skincare products after treatment, as the increased circulation enhances absorption.
  • Blue light may exacerbate pigmentation in some cases. It usually doesn’t increase hyperpigmentation for most people – though there are exceptions, particularly in darker skin types. If you have stubborn pigmentation (especially melasma), it’s recommended to avoid blue light.

You should also avoid light therapy if you suffer from any photosensitive disorders, genetic eye conditions, seizures, glaucoma, lupus erythematosus, photosensitive eczema, albinism, or epilepsy; if you are particularly sensitive to light; or if you are currently taking medication (such as antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs, or diuretics) that can cause photosensitivity or increase skin sensitivity to light.

I’ve been using LED light therapy for years, and I do see a difference in my skin. It’s worth noting that consistency is the key if you want to see results. So, if you’re ready to make it a part of your routine, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try.

I wanted to post about this mask. I already owned 2, 1 without infra red, then I wanted one with infra-red and then I wanted one with yellow for rosacea so I also got this. The battery is terrible. I can’t even sell it it’s that bad, it’s a common issue which I was aware of when I bought it, I chanced it, I lost.
Other issue is I don’t think it’s effective, I don’t know if it’s LEDs or irradiance but I can use my Stylpro or Zutta on 633nm and it will help with redness and general skin(it’s fantastic for my Rosacea so anyone else with rosacea have a think about trying red light therapy), this does nothing, so redness gets worse. Yellow doesn’t seem to do anything either but I have nothing to compare it to. I bought a yellow Hooga bulb to try so fingers crossed.
I love my LED masks but not this one, and because of the battery issue I can’t honestly sell it.
Also will add you don’t need to get a super expensive mask but also the no brand super cheap ones are usually a waste of money with too low irradiance. Stylpro and Zutta have both been good with battery packs still doing well. If overall skin and aging is your focus then Stylpro, if acne is then Zutta as Zutta’s blue light is a lot stronger.
