VIRTUE Labs Scalp Elixir Review
Here are my honest thoughts on the VIRTUE Labs Scalp Elixir, an overnight leave-in serum, designed to restore the scalp barrier and smooth strands for stronger, softer, and more radiant hair.

The formula contains a blend of humectants including glycerin, hyaluronic acid, sodium PCA, sodium lactate, panthenol, red algae extract, and PCA to hydrate the scalp and reduce dryness. Additionally, a blend of amino acids including arginine, aspartic acid, glycine, alanine, serine, valine, threonine, proline, isoleucine, phenylalanine, and histidine, along with alpha glucan oligosaccharide, sunflower sprout extract, and ceramides, helps to soothe the scalp and support its natural barrier function.
The formula also contains Alpha Keratin 60ku®, Virtue’s exclusive protein that helps strengthen and repair hair from the inside out. A blend of peptides including palmitoyl tetrapeptide-20 and acetyl hexapeptide-1 helps support stronger looking hair. Caesalpinia spinosa extract, sunflower sprout extract, nasturtium extract, quercus petraea extract, red algae extract, and vitamin E provide antioxidant protection.

The VIRTUE Labs Scalp Elixir has a light texture that doesn’t leave my scalp greasy or weigh my hair down. It leaves no residue and doesn’t stain pillows. Additionally, it has a relaxing scent, with a blend of chamomile, lavender, and sandalwood, that is subtle and not overpowering.

For context, I have fine hair and an oily, sensitive scalp. I’ve used the VIRTUE Scalp Elixir for about two months, applying it to a damp scalp and hair after washing. While it feels comfortable to use, I haven’t noticed much difference in my strands. Therefore, I’m not going to repurchase this product.

I’ve tried many VIRTUE products and enjoy most of them, but unfortunately, the Scalp Elixir just doesn’t work for me.
