U Beauty The SUPER Hydrator Review
Welcome to my review of the U Beauty SUPER Hydrator, a luxury face moisturiser designed to deliver deep hydration and support the skin barrier. Let’s see how it performs and whether it’s worth the splurge.
The formula contains a blend of squalane, shea butter, argan oil, avocado oil, grape seed oil, sweet almond oil, passionflower seed oil, Acticire® MB, fatty acids (linoleic acid, oleic acid, linolenic acid) and waxes to soften the skin, support the lipid barrier and reduce water loss. It also contains hyaluronic acid (five unique types of hyaluronic acid), panthenol, dextran, beta glucan and sorbitol to help the skin maintain hydration. Additionally, a blend of vitamin C, vitamin E, superoxide dismutase, lactobionic acid and glutathione provides antioxidant protection. A blend of acetyl hexapeptide-37 and N-prolyl palmitoyl tripeptide-56 acetate (Matrixyl® Morphomics™) works to combat wrinkles and support collagen production, while palmitoyl tripeptide-8 soothes the skin and reduces sensitivity.
The U Beauty SUPER Hydrator has a beautiful milky texture that feels rich but surprisingly lightweight, a bit like Augustin Bader’s Light Cream. It goes on smoothly and just melts into the skin without feeling greasy.
I’ve been using The SUPER Hydrator this winter, and it’s really made a difference to my winter-dry cheeks. It leaves them soft, moisturised, and calm, not tight or itchy. I mostly apply it at night to lock in my serums, as it can be too hydrating for my morning routine. When I wake up, my skin looks smoother and more hydrated, and it stays plump and supple throughout the day. I also use it on my lips whenever they start feeling dry, instead of a lip balm. This moisturiser actually feels like it locks in moisture and delivers deep, long-lasting hydration, rather than just sitting on top of the skin. Additionally, it has never caused any irritation or breakouts for me.
All in all, I’ve had a great experience with the U Beauty SUPER Hydrator, and I can definitely recommend giving it a try if you don’t mind the price.
