The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution Review
In today’s review, I’ll share my experience with The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution that I recently put to the test. I’m ready to reveal my thoughts and how it worked for me.
The formula contains 2% salicylic acid (BHA), which penetrates the pores and exfoliates from within. BHA has anti-inflammatory properties and also exfoliates the skin’s surface. Additionally, the formula contains Saccharide Isomerate, a complex mixture of hydrating, corn-derived sugars with humectant properties that help minimise dryness and soften the skin.
The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution has a watery, gel-like texture. When applied, it feels slightly sticky on the skin and may foam a little if you use too much product. I prefer to use this serum in my nighttime routine, as it doesn’t layer well under makeup. Additionally, the product is fragrance-free and has no scent at all.
My combination skin loves salicylic acid, which penetrates the pores and unclogs them from within. For me, The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution works better for prevention than for treating blemishes. It didn’t make pimples disappear overnight, but it helped them heal a little faster and reduced redness. So, I wouldn’t call it a miracle worker for blemishes, but it definitely helped clear up my skin without being harsh or irritating. It also made a difference to my pores.
In short, The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution has been an effective and affordable treatment that helped clear up my skin. I enjoyed using it and would consider repurchasing it.

Nice serum for acne-prone skin. It’s helped with my breakouts, and my skin looks clearer and feels better since I started using it. Salicylic acid really works for me.
