The Ordinary PHA 5% Exfoliating Lip Serum Review
Welcome to my new blog post. Today I’m sharing my experience with The Ordinary PHA 5% Exfoliating Lip Serum, a gentle, chemical-based lip exfoliator designed to smooth and hydrate lips.

The formula contains a blend of 5% PHA and 1.5% alpha hydroxy acids to smooth the lips. Additionally, it contains a high concentration of glycerin (>50%) to improve hydration and retain moisture, as well as ectoin to support the skin barrier and provide long-term hydration. A blend of gluconolactone, carrot juice, and ectoin also provides antioxidant protection.

The Ordinary PHA 5% Exfoliating Lip Serum has quite an unpleasant, siliconey consistency. The directions say to let it dry, but it never actually dries, no matter how long I wait. The formula is pretty runny, so it slips into my mouth, and it tastes absolutely awful. I’d say it’s one of the worst-tasting lip products I’ve ever used.

I’ve used it for about two weeks and, honestly, it’s a complete miss for me. I haven’t seen any real exfoliation. Instead, my lips have become drier and more flaky than before. I’d rather use a physical exfoliant than this.

Unfortunately, The Ordinary PHA didn’t work for me, but I can see how others might like it.
