Sweet Chemistry Labs Review
I’m back with another review, and today I’m sharing my experience with two products from Sweet Chemistry: the Barrier Repairing Hydra-Serum and the Elasticity Reinforcing Hydra-Cream. These are the first two products I’ve tried from the brand, and they definitely won’t be my last!
Sweet Chemistry Labs Elasticity Reinforcing Hydra-Cream
The Sweet Chemistry Elasticity Reinforcing Hydra-Cream is a regenerative cream designed to strengthen the skin barrier, support collagen production, improve skin elasticity, and deliver lasting hydration. It has a very lightweight, almost gel-like texture that glides effortlessly over the skin. It sinks in quickly without feeling greasy or sticky, leaving a soft satin finish. This cream feels weightless on the skin and sits well under makeup. It’s also fragrance-free.
The formula contains a blend of humectants, including glycerin, panthenol, beta-glucan, amino acids, NMF components (sodium PCA, PCA, and sodium lactate), and a multi-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid complex. Additionally, a blend of emollients, including squalane, rosehip seed oil, and raspberry seed oil, helps soften the skin and reduce moisture loss, while a 3% blend of ceramides, phytosphingosine, and cholesterol helps replenish the skin barrier and improve moisture retention by reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
It also contains 2% THD ascorbate, a vitamin C derivative with excellent skin penetration that provides antioxidant protection, helps brighten the skin, supports collagen synthesis, and reduces oxidative stress, while a blend of blueberry fruit extract, blackberry fruit extract, raspberry fruit extract, elderberry fruit extract, apple fruit extract, acai fruit extract, and amla fruit extract provides additional antioxidant protection.
Also, 3% Matrikynes® regenerative upcycled bovine bone peptides and 5% industry peptides (Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-52, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-50, Heptapeptide-15 Palmitate, Palmitoyl Heptapeptide-18, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, and Copper Palmitoyl Heptapeptide-14) help increase collagen and elastin density. Additionally, colloidal oatmeal, beta-glucan, panthenol, bisabolol, allantoin, green tea extract, and lactobacillus ferment help soothe the skin.
I’ve been using the Sweet Chemistry Elasticity Reinforcing Hydra-Cream as my nighttime hydrator for the past three weeks, applying it to my face, neck and décolleté, and I love the results. I wake up with soft, well-hydrated skin and a healthy, natural-looking glow. It also does a good job of soothing my skin and calming redness, which is a big bonus. I believe the peptides are doing their thing, and so far, I really like it. This cream is going to be a lifesaver during the upcoming colder months.

Sweet Chemistry Labs Barrier Repairing Hydra-Serum
The Sweet Chemistry Labs Barrier Repairing Hydra-Serum is an advanced, lightweight regenerative serum designed to support collagen, improve skin density, and strengthen the skin barrier. It has a lightweight consistency, yet it feels surprisingly thicker when applied. It’s slightly sticky at first, so I usually leave it for about a minute to absorb fully before layering anything else over it. This one is also fragrance-free.
The formula contains a blend of humectants, including NMF components (sodium PCA, PCA, sodium lactate, and amino acids), glycerin, beta-glucan, panthenol, and a multi-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid complex for intense hydration. Emollients, including rosehip seed oil, linoleic acid, and linolenic acid, help soften the skin and reduce moisture loss, while 3% pure ceramides (NP and AP), 1% cholesterol, a 1% amino acid blend, phytosphingosine, and niacinamide help strengthen the skin barrier, improve hydration, protect the skin against environmental stressors, reduce inflammation, and improve skin resilience.
Additionally, 3% Matrikynes® regenerative upcycled bovine bone peptides and 5% industry peptides (Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-52, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-50, Heptapeptide-15 Palmitate, Palmitoyl Heptapeptide-18, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, and Copper Palmitoyl Heptapeptide-14) help increase collagen and elastin density.
Also, a blend of niacinamide, resveratrol, CoQ10, vitamin E, thioctic acid, saccharina latissima, green tea leaf extract, cranberry fruit extract, blueberry fruit extract, blackberry fruit extract, raspberry fruit extract, elderberry fruit extract, apple fruit extract, acai fruit extract, and amla fruit extract provides antioxidant protection. Additionally, a blend of niacinamide, saccharina latissima, colloidal oatmeal, beta-glucan, panthenol, bisabolol, allantoin, and green tea extract helps soothe the skin.
The Sweet Chemistry Labs Barrier Repairing Hydra-Serum has been really good for my skin. It feels calming and soothing, while providing long-lasting hydration. After using it for a while, I’ve noticed that my skin looks noticeably clearer and more even. It softens the look of my fine lines, and my overall complexion looks healthier and plumper. It’s genuinely exceeded all my expectations and is going straight onto my repurchase list.
