Sunday Riley Review October 2026
In today’s review, I’m sharing my thoughts on two Sunday Riley products: the Auto Correct Eye Cream and the Blue Moon Clean Rinse Cleansing Balm. Let’s take a look at how they perform and whether they’re worth adding to your skincare routine.
Sunday Riley Auto Correct Eye Cream
The Sunday Riley Auto Correct Eye Cream is an eye cream designed to brighten and lift the eye area while helping to reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. It has a silky, lightweight texture that sinks in beautifully, leaving the under-eye area feeling soft and well-hydrated for hours. It also works well under makeup, creating a smooth base for my concealer. It does contain some shimmer, but it seems to disappear once applied, so I wouldn’t say it adds any visible glow or gives the under-eye area a soft-focus appearance.
I wouldn’t say it’s the most hydrating eye cream I’ve tried or that it works wonders, but it still feels really pleasant to use. It leaves my under-eye area feeling soft and hydrated and makes me look more awake and refreshed. It’s one of those products I’m always happy to get in beauty boxes and goody bags.
The formula contains a blend of humectants, including glycerin, coconut water, sodium PCA, sodium lactate, fructose, trehalose, maltodextrin, and watermelon extract, to help hydrate the delicate eye area. A blend of emollients, including jojoba esters, shea butter, cocoa butter, safflower seed oil, and lecithin, helps soften the skin and reduce moisture loss. Additionally, a blend of silicones forms a lightweight protective film, helps reduce moisture loss, and provides an immediate smoothing effect, while synthetic fluorphlogopite, mica, titanium dioxide, and silica help make fine lines and dark circles less noticeable, giving the under-eye area a luminous, soft-focus appearance.
The Dark Circle Complex (caffeine, Brazilian ginseng, muira puama, and horse chestnut) can temporarily help reduce the appearance of puffiness and improve the appearance of vascular dark circles, while a blend of coffee seed extract, watermelon fruit extract, horse chestnut extract, Brazilian ginseng root extract, acmella oleracea extract, apple fruit extract, lentil fruit extract, Madonna lily flower extract, safflower seed oil, caffeine, and vitamin E provides antioxidant protection. A blend of horse chestnut extract, watermelon fruit extract, Madonna lily flower extract, and acmella oleracea extract helps soothe the skin.

Sunday Riley Blue Moon Clean Rinse Cleansing Balm
The Sunday Riley Blue Moon Clean Rinse Cleansing Balm is a hydrating, pale blue balm designed to remove makeup, sunscreen, and daily impurities while soothing dry, irritated skin. It has a quite a firm, gritty texture. After a few seconds of massaging it into the skin, it melts into a smooth, emollient consistency, and most of the grittiness disappears. The gritty bits can provide some mild exfoliation, so I’d say this texture isn’t for everyone.
The formula contains a blend of emollients, including cocoa seed butter and jojoba esters, along with emulsifying agents to help dissolve makeup, sunscreen, and excess sebum without leaving a greasy residue. Additionally, a blend of humectants, including glycerin, helps maintain skin hydration. A blend of German chamomile flower oil, Roman chamomile flower oil, and blue tansy flower oil may help soothe the skin.
It removes my everyday makeup well and feels incredibly gentle on the skin without stinging my eyes. However, it does struggle with waterproof makeup, particularly waterproof eyeliner and stubborn mascara. Since I tend to wear very little makeup, this isn’t a big issue for me. This balm works really well as the first step in my double cleansing routine. I like how it leaves my skin feeling soothed and moisturised, never tight or stripped.
I also love using it as a soothing, moisturising mask, leaving it on for around 10–15 minutes whenever my skin needs a little extra care. My skin always feels so supple and comfortable afterwards. There’s something truly calming and relaxing about using this balm. It makes cleansing feel like a special treat rather than just another step in my skincare routine. That said, as much as I like this balm, I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone.
