Today, I’m sharing my next K-Beauty sunscreen review and this time it’s all about the SOME BY MI Truecica Aqua Calming Sunscreen SPF 50. Without further ado, let me share my experience with you.
The formula contains diethylhexyl butamido triazone (also known as Uvasorb HEB, which protects against UVB and UVA II rays), terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid (also known as Mexoryl SX, which protects the skin against UVA rays), diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (also known as Uvinul A Plus, which protects the skin against UVA rays), bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine (also known as Tinosorb S, which covers the entire UVB and UVA range), and ethylhexyl triazone (also known as Uvinul T 150, which provides one of the highest levels of photo-stable absorption among UVB filters).
A blend of portulaca extract, mugwort extract, water lily flower extract, niacinamide, asiaticoside, madecassoside, madecassic acid, asiatic acid, and centella asiatica extract provides antioxidant protection. Glycerin, niacinamide, portulaca extract, aloe extract, hydrolysed hyaluronic acid, panthenol, and trehalose also hydrate the skin. Additionally, a blend of portulaca extract, mugwort extract, tea tree extract, aloe leaf extract, adenosine, niacinamide, panthenol, asiatic acid, asiaticoside, madecassic acid, madecassoside, and centella asiatica extract soothes the skin.
The SOME BY MI Truecica Aqua Calming Sunscreen SPF 50 has a light, creamy texture that absorbs easily and leaves no white cast. It feels moisturising and gives my skin a healthy, natural glow without looking oily or greasy. It sits well under makeup and doesn’t pill. Overall, it feels comfortable on my combination skin throughout the day without being heavy by any means. It also has a herbal scent with a hint of lavender that quickly fades after application.
For context, I have combo skin that’s prone to breakouts during the summer months and around my period. The SOME BY MI Truecica Aqua Calming Sunscreen SPF 50 works really well for my skin. It doesn’t cause breakouts, irritation, or sting my eyes.
