Here’s my latest review of the Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance Body Lotion SPF 50. It’s a mineral SPF 50 body lotion infused with a tropical Cheirosa 87 fragrance, and I must say that I really like it. Without further ado, let’s dive into the details and learn more about this product.
The active ingredients in this sunscreen are zinc oxide, ethylhexyl methoxycrylene (a UV absorber and stabilising ingredient), and butyloctyl salicylate (which enhances SPF and helps solubilise other solid UV filters). It also contains a blend of emollients, cupuaçu seed butter, coconut oil, and glycerin that moisturise and soften the skin. Additionally, a blend of açaí fruit oil, niacinamide, and pongamia extract provides antioxidant protection, while niacinamide brightens and evens skin tone.
The Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance Body Lotion SPF 50 has a creamy texture that goes on easily and absorbs quickly, leaving zero white cast. It feels really hydrating without being sticky or greasy, and it gives the skin a lovely, healthy glow with no visible shimmer. I also like the small applicator, which makes it easier to control how much product I use without any mess.
The Sol de Janeiro is known for its fragrances, and that’s what really sets it apart. The Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance Body Spray SPF 50 is infused with the tropical, beachy Cheirosa 87 scent, featuring notes of coconut milk, tuberose, and vanilla. It’s a lovely scent that smells just like the perfume mist and reminds me of holidays and beach vacations. The smell is quite strong, especially right after application, which I actually enjoy. That said, I can see how it might be a bit too much and off-putting for some.
I used the Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance Body Lotion SPF 50 on my recent holiday, and it worked great. As someone very fair who burns easily, this product gave me great protection. I love that it moisturises while also protecting against the sun. My skin feels soft, velvety, and has a healthy glow after using it. I’ll definitely be taking it on my next holiday!
