Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Cheirosa 62 Deodorant Review
Welcome to my next SDJ review, where I’ll be talking about the Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Cheirosa 62 Deodorant. After giving it a thorough try, I’m ready to share my experience and whether it lived up to my expectations.
The formula contains tapioca starch and magnesium hydroxide to absorb excess moisture, while papaya enzyme gently exfoliates to remove dead skin cells, helping to fight ingrown hairs and promote an even skin tone. A blend of coconut oil, rice bran wax, mango seed butter, sunflower seed oil, papaya seed oil, and bacuri oil softens and moisturises the skin. Additionally, a blend of blueberry extract, lemon extract, orange extract, and sugar maple extract provides antioxidant protection.
The Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Cheirosa 62 Deodorant has a creamy texture that glides on easily and feels good on the skin. It’s comfortable to wear, not greasy or sticky, and not dry or chalky either. However, applying too much can sometimes leave a bit of residue.
The deodorant is infused with the Cheirosa 62 fragrance. It’s a sweet blend of pistachio, vanilla, salted caramel and sandalwood with a summery, beachy vibe. It has the same scent as the brand’s famous Bum Bum Cream, but it is more subtle and lingers on the skin for less time. It pairs perfectly with the matching perfume mist.
The Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Cheirosa 62 feels gentle on the skin. I have sensitive skin and never have issues with SDJ deodorants; they are very gentle, non-irritating, and don’t break me out.
This deodorant works really well for everyday use, and I don’t feel sweaty while wearing it. But I don’t use it for the gym or hiking. While I’m not a heavy sweater, it lasts for 5–10 hours depending on my activity level.
Sol de Janeiro deodorants are my favourites. The Rio Deo Cheirosa 62 is no exception. They all check every box for me, plus they smell amazing, so I’ll keep repurchasing them again and again.
