Sol De Janeiro Perfume Mist Discovery Set Review
Recently, I got my hands on the Sol de Janeiro Perfume Mist Discovery Set, and I’m excited to share my thoughts with you. This limited-edition set features five Cheirosa perfume mists, and I couldn’t resist buying it the same day it landed at Lookfantastic. Now, let’s take a closer look at each mist from the set.
Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’40 Perfume Mist
Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’40 Perfume Mist – an intoxicating fragrance infused with notes of black amber plum, vanilla woods, and jasmine blossoms. This is one of the best perfume mists I’ve tried from SDJ. It has a delightful fruity floral scent that I love, and it lasts a really long time. I loved this scent so much that I bought the Bom Dia Bright™ Clarifying AHA BHA Body Wash with the same Cheirosa ’40 fragrance. With this perfume mist, I usually receive many compliments and questions about it!
Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa ’59 Perfume Mist
Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa ’59 Perfume Mist – a delightful fragrance featuring vanilla orchid, sugared violet, and sheer sandalwood. Although it’s not my top favourite, it is sweet and nice. I was pleasantly surprised that it is not as sweet as other scents in the collection. The fragrance has a more subtle hint of vanilla compared to its sister scents, which I find appealing. It has good staying power for a mist and offers a lovely scent perfect for everyday wear. Unlike some of the other fragrances, it doesn’t have an overpowering summery or coconutty aroma.
Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa ’62 Perfume Mist
Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa ’62 Perfume Mist – a hair and body mist infused with a delicious fragrance of salted caramel, pistachio, and vanilla. This scent reminds me of summer and holidays. It has a nice, sweet smell. While it’s not my favourite among others, it’s still a beautiful summer fragrance.
I suggest using just 2-3 sprays at a time because this scent is one of the stronger ones. It can quickly become overpowering if you apply too much. It lasts well for a body spray and lasts quite a while on clothes and hair.
Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa ’68 Perfume Mist
Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa ’68 Perfume Mist – a hair and body mist with notes of jasmine, pink dragonfruit, lychee, and vanilla, with a hint of musk. It is one of my favourite SDJ fragrances (yes, I’m a fan of the Beija Flor lineup). This sweet yet not overwhelming floral scent reminds me of Baccarat Rouge 540. For me, it is perfect for spring and summer. It has good staying power for a body spray and lasts even longer on clothes.
Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa ’87 Perfume Mist
Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa ’87 Perfume Mist – a floral tropical fragrance with key notes of creamy coconut, tuberose, and creamy vanilla, otherwise known as Rio Radiance. This is the one I was most excited to try from the set. It has a summer beachy scent that reminds me of a vacation on the beach and brings to mind Soleil Blanc from Tom Ford. It’s perfect for holidays and vacations. It lasts quite well for a body spray, I can even still smell it on my clothes the next day.
Overall, I’m glad to have this set and enjoyed discovering Sol De Janeiro’s perfume mists. Some scents pleasantly surprised me, and I’m considering purchasing them in full size. I think it’s a great selection of fragrances to test all the scents and find the one you love most.
