Sol de Janeiro Bom Dia Bright Cream Review
Today I’m talking about the Sol de Janeiro Bom Dia Bright Cream. It’s scented with the Cheirosa 40 fragrance and claims to exfoliate, brighten, and moisturise the skin. Let’s see if it actually lives up to its promises.

The formula contains a blend of emollients, including coconut oil, cupuaçu butter, and açaí oil, to help reduce moisture loss and soften the skin. Additionally, a blend of fruit AHAs derived from mango and banana helps retexturise the skin, while willow bark extract helps to clarify the skin. A blend of açaí oil, banana extract, mango extract, caja extract, papaya extract, and vitamins C and E also provides antioxidant protection.
The Sol de Janeiro Bom Dia Bright Cream has a nice, thick texture that feels lovely on the skin. It goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly, leaving no sticky or greasy residue behind. This cream features the Cheirosa 40 fragrance, which is one of my favourite SDJ scents. It’s a fruity floral blend with top notes of black amber plum and crème de cassis, middle notes of jasmine blooms and Brazilian orchid, and base notes of vanilla woods and warm musk.
While this cream did hydrate my skin nicely, it didn’t really stand out to me. The hydration didn’t last very long, and when it came to KP, I didn’t find it particularly effective either. In the end, I mostly used it for the scent. If you’re looking for something for KP, I’d recommend checking out other options, such as:
- First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA
- AMELIORATE Transforming Body Lotion
- Dermadoctor KP Duty Moisturizing Body Lotion for Dry, Rough, and Bumpy Skin
- The INKEY List Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Body Stick
To sum it up, the Sol de Janeiro just didn’t become a favourite of mine. That said, I can still see why others might enjoy it.
