Sol De Janeiro Body Badalada Lotion Review
In this review, I want to take a closer look at the Sol de Janeiro Body Badalada Lotion. As a big fan of the brand, I knew I had to get my hands on this launch, and here’s what I think after giving it a thorough try.
The formula contains a blend of emollients, including rice bran oil, Brazil nut seed oil, coconut extract, and the occlusive dimethicone, to lock in moisture and soften the skin. Additionally, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and Brazilian sugar cane extract help to keep the skin hydrated. It also contains a blend of prickly pear extract and coconut extract, which provide antioxidant protection.
The Sol de Janeiro Body Badalada Lotion has a very lightweight texture that glides on smoothly and sinks in almost instantly. It’s easy to rub in and is actually more watery than I expected. It doesn’t leave any greasy residue on the skin and doesn’t feel sticky at all. I also love that the bottle has a pump, which makes it easy to apply.
The lotion features the brand’s signature Cheirosa 62 fragrance, the same as in the Bum Bum Cream. It’s a sweet, sunny blend of pistachio, vanilla, salted caramel and sandalwood that reminds me of summer holidays. The scent is more subtle than the body cream and lingers on the skin for a shorter time. Still, it’s the same delicious scent, and it matches perfectly with the perfume mists.
The Sol de Janeiro Body Badalada Lotion leaves my skin soft, nicely hydrated, and with a healthy glow. I think it works best for warmer months or as a daytime body lotion, as it absorbs quickly and you can get dressed straight away. But if you’re looking for more intense hydration, I’d say skip it. I’d also recommend applying it straight after a shower while your skin is still damp.
All in all, the Sol de Janeiro Body Badalada Lotion is another lovely product from the brand that I thoroughly enjoy using. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they release it in other scents as well.
