Today, I’m excited to discuss the Shiseido Benefiance Smoothing Eye Cream, an anti-ageing eye cream that reduces the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles, combats dark circles, and deeply moisturises the skin. I’m absolutely blown away by this product and would say it’s one of the best eye creams I’ve ever used. So, let’s delve into the details of this eye cream and its features.
Shiseido Benefiance Smoothing Eye Cream features a blend of emollients like squalane and occlusive agents such as mineral oil, paraffin, and waxes. This blend instantly softens the skin around the eyes and helps prevent water loss. It also includes the KOMBU-Bounce Complex, a blend derived from three types of algae, targeting fine lines and wrinkles and enhancing hydration. Further, a blend of glutamic acid, sodium PCA, hyaluronic acid, and sodium lactate boosts the moisturising effects and helps to lock in hydration for longer-lasting results.
It’s enriched with anti-aging peptides, including Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, and carnosine. The formula additionally contains with a mix of antioxidants such as ginseng extract, gambir extract, shell ginger extract, ashitaba extract, turmeric extract, hawthorn extract, green tea extract, and jujube extract. Finally, caffeine is included to improve microcirculation, brightening the skin around the eyes, while also helping to reduce any lingering puffiness.
The Shiseido Benefiance Smoothing Eye Cream has a silky, thick texture that glides smoothly onto the skin. Despite its thickness, it does not feel heavy and absorbs without leaving a greasy residue. After application, it leaves a slightly shiny finish that lasts for a while. Just a small amount of product is needed to hydrate the under-eye area and lids, so a little goes a long way. This eye cream works well under makeup, and the makeup sits nicely over it.
The cream has a delightful fragrance that is not overpowering but still noticeable. It smells like flowers, maybe roses, and I find it pleasant and luxurious. However, the scent fades away quite quickly.
Typically, the area under my eyes is dry, but this product has been a true game-changer. With consistent use, I noticed my fine lines beginning to soften, giving a smoother appearance. This cream is essential for maintaining smooth and hydrated under-eye skin. It appears that its moisturizing effect persists throughout the day, even after washing, leaving the skin around my eyes hydrated longer. I’ve tried many eye creams before, but none have delivered the results I’ve seen with Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream.
Shiseido Benefiance Smoothing Eye Cream has notably improved the elasticity of my skin, leaving it looking and feeling plumper and firmer. I thoroughly enjoy using this product and feel it effectively replenishes the tired skin under my eyes. I’ve noticed the refreshed look of my eyes in the morning.
This eye cream, being thick and creamy, may not work well for oily skin. But, it’s great for those with dry skin. I definitely think it’s worth trying if you struggle with dryness under your eyes, just like I do.
I’m on my fourth jar of the Shiseido Benefiance Smoothing Eye Cream and planning to purchase it again. It’s worth mentioning that the cream has been recently reformulated, and this time I tried the new formula. I cannot really tell the difference from before, except maybe that it feels a bit thinner. However, it’s still an amazing product and my personal must-have, worth every penny.
