ROUND LAB Pine Calming Cica Sunscreen Review
Here are my honest thoughts on the ROUND LAB Pine Calming Cica Sunscreen, another K-Beauty SPF I picked up to try. Let’s see how it performs.
The formula contains diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (also known as Uvinul A Plus, which protects the skin against UVA rays), ethylhexyl triazone (also known as Uvinul T 150, which provides one of the highest levels of photostable UVB absorption), methylene bis-benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol (also known as Tinosorb M, which offers broad-spectrum protection), and diethylhexyl butamido triazone (also known as Uvasorb HEB, which protects against UVB and UVA II rays) to deliver photostable, broad-spectrum coverage.
A blend of lightweight emollients and silicones gives a smooth, slightly blurring finish, while glycoproteins, beta-glucan, and sunflower seed oil help reinforce the skin barrier and soften the skin. It also contains the ACZERO Complex (willow bark extract, green tea extract, centella asiatica extract, brown seaweed extract, coffee seed extract, bergamot extract, and Pinus densiflora leaf extract), which helps control excess oil and sebum. A blend of niacinamide, glycerin, and hyaluronic acid with its derivatives hydrates the skin. Additionally, a blend of adenosine, brown algae extract, green tea water, madecassoside, madecassic acid, asiaticoside, asiatic acid, oat extract, beta-glucan, and niacinamide soothes the skin. A blend of artichoke extract, green tea water, madecassoside, madecassic acid, asiaticoside, asiatic acid, coffee seed extract, and gardenia florida fruit extract also provides antioxidant protection.
The ROUND LAB Pine Calming Cica Sunscreen has a light, lotion-like consistency that absorbs quickly, leaving no white cast. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy and layers well under makeup. It gives a natural finish that isn’t overly dewy or too matte. It also has a subtle herbal scent, which I’m not a big fan of personally, but it fades shortly after application.
I have combination skin that tends to break out in summer and around my period. This sunscreen worked well for my skin. It didn’t cause any breakouts or irritation, and it didn’t sting my eyes. My skin’s also been a bit reactive over the past couple of months due to some health issues, and this actually felt very calming.
Overall, the ROUND LAB Pine Calming Cica Sunscreen is a total winner for me. It goes straight to my repurchase list, and I definitely recommend giving it a try.
