rhode Review
Welcome to a new blog post! Today I’m reviewing a few products from rhode: the Peptide Lip Treatment in Caramelized Banana, the Caffeine Reset Mask, and the Pocket Blush in Teacup. Here’s how they’ve been working for me.
rhode Peptide Lip Treatment in Caramelized Banana
The rhode Peptide Lip Treatment in Caramelized Banana – a limited-edition banana-scented version of the nourishing lip treatment. It’s a hybrid between a balm and a lip gloss with a comfortable, non-sticky texture and a beautiful, glossy finish. I really like the formula. It glides on smoothly and feels lightweight on the lips. The scent is amazing too. It smells like a sweet banana treat without being overpowering.
The formula contains a blend of emollients, synthetic hydrocarbons, and waxes to help reduce water loss, protect the lips from dryness, soften the lips, improve the texture and consistency of the product, and enhance shine. Additionally, a blend of babassu oil, shea butter, and cupuaçu butter helps retain moisture and soften the lips. Vitamins C and E provide antioxidant protection, while palmitoyl tripeptide-1 helps plump, firm, and condition the lips.
I honestly enjoy using this lip treatment and find it really comfortable on my lips. It leaves my lips feeling soft, smooth, and moisturised. Additionally, it gives my lips a naturally glossy look without being sticky like some other lip glosses. It’s a versatile product you can wear am and pm, under lipstick, over a lip tint, with just a lip liner or on its own. It also lasts quite well, and even after it wears off, my lips remain moisturised and smooth for hours. You can use the Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment as an overnight lip mask, although for intensive overnight hydration, I prefer my Lanolips and Laneige lip balms.

rhode Pocket Blush in Teacup
The rhode Pocket Blush in Teacup is a cream blush enriched with tamanu oil, palmitoyl tripeptide-1, and palmitoyl tripeptide-5. It glides smoothly onto the skin and blends effortlessly using your fingers, a brush, or a sponge. The formula feels lightweight and comfortable, never heavy or greasy. It has just the right amount of pigment and gives my cheeks a soft satin finish with a nice glow. A little product goes a long way, so you only need a small amount.
The only downside for me is the staying power. It fades after a few hours on my combination skin, especially if I don’t set it. Layering it with a powder blush does help to prolong its wear. Overall, it’s a beautiful everyday blush for a fresh, natural look.
Teacup is a mauve raspberry pink, while Sleepy Girl is a softer mauve shade. Both look quite bold when swatched, but they blend out beautifully, so it’s easy to sheer them out for a more natural-looking flush.

rhode Caffeine Reset
The rhode Caffeine Reset is a sculpting cream mask designed to wake up tired skin and leave you looking more lifted, less puffy, and more awake within minutes. It has a thick, creamy texture that spreads easily over the skin and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. It stays creamy, which makes it feel much more like a hydrating moisturiser than a mask.
The formula contains a blend of emollients, including squalane, sunflower seed oil, shea butter extract, rapeseed sterols, and lecithin, to help prevent moisture loss, soften the skin, and support barrier function. Additionally, glycerin, collagen amino acids, and saccharide isomerate help hydrate the skin. A blend of rosemary extract, papaver rhoeas extract, caffeine, and vitamin E provides antioxidant protection. Caffeine helps reduce puffiness, improve microcirculation, and make the skin look more awake, while nonapeptide-1 helps improve the appearance of uneven skin tone, enhance radiance, and reduce the look of dullness.
I like to apply this mask in the morning before makeup because it helps wake up and refresh my skin when it looks a little tired and puffy. It feels nice and leaves my skin more moisturised and baby-soft with that natural healthy glow. I wouldn’t say it gives a noticeable contouring effect (which no topical really can), but I genuinely enjoy using it.
