Pixi Review

I’m back with another review, and this time I’m talking about a few products from Pixi, including the Flawless Beauty Primer, the Flawless & Poreless, the Correction Concentrate, and the GradualGlow Self-Tan Serum.

Pixi Flawless & Poreless

The Pixi Flawless & Poreless Primer is designed to visibly blur pores, control shine, and create a silky-smooth, flawless base for long-lasting makeup. The formula is enriched with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, shea butter, jojoba oil, argan oil, rosehip oil, arginine, and vitamin E.

The primer has a beautiful, silky texture and a flesh-toned tint that turns translucent once blended into the skin. It glides on easily without feeling heavy or greasy. My pores are usually more noticeable around my nose, and this does such a good job of smoothing everything out and making my skin look more even. It helps my makeup go on more smoothly, doesn’t settle into fine lines, and stays looking fresher for longer. This primer also works well on its own for no-makeup days.

Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer

The Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer is a skin perfector that smooths and blurs the complexion, creating a naturally glowy finish while helping makeup last longer. The formula is enriched with lightweight emollients, light-reflecting pigments, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, jojoba oil, argan oil, shea butter, rosehip oil, arginine, and vitamin E.

Once blended, the tint becomes almost translucent, and most of the glow comes from the gold shimmer, which is only really noticeable up close. From a distance, it just gives the skin a soft glow. It dries down to a smooth satin finish without feeling tacky on the skin. At first, I thought the shimmer looked a little too glittery, but once I applied foundation, it actually gave my skin a really nice glow.

For dry skin, I don’t think this feels nearly as hydrating as the brand claims. And for oily skin, I’m not really sure this is the best option either, even though it’s supposed to work for all skin types. Honestly, it’s not the kind of primer I can see myself using every day.

Pixi GradualGlow Self-Tan 

It’s a really nice, gradual self-tan lotion that gives the skin a natural-looking golden glow without feeling greasy or heavy. I like applying this in the evening and letting the tan develop overnight, so by morning my skin has a natural-looking glow. The formula feels lightweight and dries down well, leaving my skin soft and smooth. The tan develops evenly without going patchy, especially if I use my body moisturiser between applications. One layer gives a subtle sun-kissed look, but it’s easy to build up over a few days for a deeper glow. There is also a slight fake tan scent, like with most self-tanning lotions.

Pixi Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach

The Pixi Correction Concentrate is a creamy corrector that brightens, blurs, and softens the delicate under-eye area. The formula is enriched with emollients, waxes, rosehip oil, and vitamins C and E.

When I first received it, I was really surprised by the pot’s size. It comes in quite a big box, but the actual pot is super tiny. This is a highly pigmented concealer with a creamy texture. However, it dries down quickly, so I prefer to apply an eye cream first to keep the under-eye area well hydrated and prevent it from settling into fine lines. It works nicely on my skin and helps neutralise under-eye darkness and dullness I usually get during a migraine. I can wear it on its own or layer concealer over it. It works well with pretty much everything.
