Philip Kingsley Overnight Scalp Barrier Serum with Triple Balancing Action Review

In today’s review, I’d like to discuss the Philip Kingsley Overnight Scalp Barrier Serum with Triple Balancing Action. After putting it to the test, I’m ready to share my thoughts and whether it lived up to my expectations.

The formula contains a blend of aloe leaf juice, saccharide isomerate, witch hazel water, and oat kernel oil to soothe and hydrate the scalp. Additionally, betaine, glycerin, sarcosine, and xylitylglucoside hydrate the scalp, while lactic acid provides gentle exfoliation.
It also contains Piroctone Olamine, an antifungal and antimicrobial ingredient that helps treat dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis, promotes healthier hair, and reduces oil and inflammation. The formula also contains menthol, which some research suggests may increase blood flow to the skin, scalp, and hair follicles, helping to open the follicles. A blend of menthol and menthyl lactate provides a cooling sensation and refreshes the scalp.

The Philip Kingsley Overnight Scalp Barrier Serum has a dry oil texture that absorbs easily into the scalp. When applied, it feels slightly tingling and warming. The scent is minty and fresh.

I have a sensitive oily scalp and this serum hasn’t done anything for me. I used it for a few months, and the only noticeable effect was an immediate cooling sensation after applying. Additionally, it leaves my hair feeling a bit greasy. I also hate planning when I’ll wash my hair. Sometimes I do it in the evening, but this serum must be applied at night and washed off in the morning. As a result, I can only use it when I know I’ll have time to wash my hair the next morning, which makes it challenging to incorporate into my routine.

I love trying new scalp products, but the Philip Kingsley Overnight Scalp Barrier Serum unfortunately didn’t work for me. I won’t repurchase it since there are other alternatives on the market that do their job better.
