Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant Review
I’m back with another review, and today, it’s all about the Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. I’ve repurchased it many times, so I think it’s time to share my experience with you.
The formula contains 2% salicylic acid (BHA), which is oil-soluble, allowing it to penetrate the skin’s lipid layers and reach deep into the pores to unclog them. Salicylic acid also exfoliates the skin and targets blemishes. Additionally, moisture-locking agents help counteract any dryness that may result from the BHA, while green tea extract provides antioxidant protection and helps soothe the skin.
The Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant feels a bit oily and sticky after application. It takes a bit of time to absorb into my combination skin.
It’s worth mentioning that many people believe salicylic acid makes skin more sensitive to the sun, but it actually doesn’t. Studies show that BHA doesn’t increase photosensitivity, unlike AHAs.
I started using the Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant in 2017 and it has been my holy grail ever since. It has made a huge difference in keeping my skin clear by unclogging pores, reducing blackheads, controlling oil, and helping pimples heal faster while reducing redness. My skin looks smoother, brighter and much healthier since I began using it.
Overall, the Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant is an absolute must-have for my skin. I truly believe it’s one of the best salicylic acid toners on the market.
