Ole Henriksen Banana Bright+ Eye Crème Review
Today I’m reviewing the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright+ Eye Crème, a vitamin C eye cream designed to brighten the under-eye area and reduce the look of dark circles and crow’s feet.
The formula contains a Triple Vitamin C Complex with a gold delivery system (including 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, and ascorbic acid) to target under-eye dark circles and the appearance of fine lines, while glutathione, glucosyl hesperidin, citrus extracts (trifoliate orange, grapefruit, and mandarin orange), mulberry root extract, and vitamin E provide antioxidant protection.
A blend of emollients, fatty acids, and occlusives, including jojoba seed oil, shea butter, jojoba esters, linoleic acid, and linolenic acid, helps prevent moisture loss, soften the skin, and support barrier function. A blend of humectants such as glycerin, sorbitol, and tamarindus indica seed polysaccharide hydrates the skin. Light-reflecting pigments help to instantly brighten and blur.
The Ole Henriksen Banana Bright+ Eye Crème has a thick, silky consistency that still feels lightweight on the skin without being sticky or greasy. It sits beautifully under makeup without any creasing. This cream has a yellow tint and light-reflecting pigments that help combat dark circles, which I really like. It also has a subtle citrusy scent.
It definitely makes my under-eye area look brighter and helps diminish dark circles. Unfortunately, I found that my skin became a bit sensitive when I used this cream daily. After about a month, I noticed a burning sensation around my eyes when I applied it. I used it again the following day, and things got even worse. By the end of the day, I developed red, dry patches around my eyes.
Overall, the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright+ Eye Crème didn’t live up to my expectations, and I definitely won’t be repurchasing it. That said, others may have a better experience with it.
