Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (PhD) Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo Review
Here’s my latest review of the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (PhD) Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo. It’s been my go-to dry shampoo for years, and I keep coming back to it for a reason. Let’s take a closer look at what makes it stand out.

The formula contains rice starch, corn starch, and cyclodextrin to absorb excess sweat and oil, combined with a specialised powder-removal system that reduces surface friction. This makes the powders easy to remove (along with everything they’ve absorbed) without leaving visible residue. Additionally, the formula includes antistatic agents and a blend of glycerin, mannitol, emollients, green algae, red algae, and red algae extract to give hair a freshly washed look and feel, enhancing softness, shine, and manageability.
Finally, it features odour neutralisers to maintain freshness, as well as a sebum balancer to regulate the scalp’s oil production, helping hair stay cleaner for longer.

The Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (PhD) Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo feels incredibly light and doesn’t dry the scalp or strands. It works wonders at absorbing oil and refreshing my hair without any sticky or white residue. My hair feels and looks really fresh, and feels soft after using it. No other dry shampoo comes close. I also love how it adds volume, making my hair look fuller and more textured without leaving it stiff or dull.
It has a nice floral scent that’s not overwhelming.

Having used both the Clean Dry Shampoo and the Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo, I honestly don’t notice much difference. They both effectively leave my hair feeling clean and fresh. The only thing that really sets them apart is the scent (the Advanced Clean has a milder scent). So, it really comes down to personal preference. I like them both and tend to repurchase each one from time to time.

All in all, the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (PhD) Advanced Clean Dry Shampoo checks all the boxes for me. It works wonders at refreshing my hair, and I highly recommend trying it. The only drawback is the price, but personally, I find it worth the investment.
