K18 Biomimetic Hairscience AirWash Dry Shampoo Review

K18 Biomimetic Hairscience AirWash Dry Shampoo Review

This time, I’m sharing a brief review of the K18 Biomimetic Hairscience AirWash Dry Shampoo. Let’s learn more about this product, how it’s been working for me, and whether I’ll repurchase it.

K18 Biomimetic Hairscience AirWash Dry Shampoo

It is formulated with OdorBIND technology that detects and binds to odour molecules on the hair and scalp, neutralising them instantly. It also contains a blend of glycerin, hyaluronic acid, mannitol, and arginine to hydrate and soften the scalp, while lactic acid gently exfoliates. Additionally, green microalgae help balance the scalp and control excess oil production over time.

The K18 AirWash Dry Shampoo is a non-aerosol dry shampoo with a liquid formula that comes in a spray bottle, similar to a leave-in conditioner or setting spray. It promises to keep hair clean and fresh for up to 3 days. The product contains translucent microbeads that claim to absorb excess oil without leaving buildup or a white cast. Additionally, it features patented odorBIND™ biotechnology, which eliminates odour-causing molecules and replaces them with a subtle fragrance.

As the brand suggests, before using the K18 AirWash Dry Shampoo, give the bottle a good shake. Then, section your hair and apply one spray per section, keeping the bottle 10–15 cm away. Massage it in, then brush or style as usual.

K18 Dry Shampoo

The good thing about the K18 Biomimetic Hairscience AirWash Dry Shampoo is that it doesn’t feel chalky and leaves no residue in the hair. Beyond that, I haven’t noticed any other real benefits for my hair. It turned out to be disappointing for me. It didn’t meet expectations in absorbing oil or making my hair feel cleaner. It also failed to add any real volume or freshness to my fine hair. Once it dries, my hair doesn’t feel greasy, but it doesn’t feel particularly good either.

Also, there’s a learning curve with how many sprays you need, as using too much can leave the hair feeling overly dry and crunchy, and may also dry out the scalp.

K18 AirWash Dry Shampoo Review

In short, the K18 Biomimetic Hairscience AirWash Dry Shampoo is a nice product, but it just didn’t work well for my hair. My top choice is still the Living Proof PhD Clean Dry Shampoo, which I can’t recommend enough and keep repurchasing.

I was thinking about getting this. I’ll repurchase the living proof one instead. It is my favorite too. Thank you for your review ❤️
