Today, I will be sharing my thoughts on the ILIA Beauty Liquid Powder Matte Eye Tint in shade Aster. Personally, I enjoy using cream or liquid eyeshadows as they offer easy and quick application. The new Ilia Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tint (£30.00) offers a diverse collection of eight vibrant yet understated hues, which captivated me. These colours glide on smoothly as a cream and set as a powder, making them incredibly versatile and allowing you to effortlessly build the desired intensity for any look.
As I have hooded eyelids, I generally need to use an eye primer before applying eyeshadows, as they often crease on me. However, with the ILIA Beauty Liquid Powder Matte Eye Tint, I’m thrilled to say that a primer is unnecessary. It exhibits impressive longevity and lasts for 8-9 hours before fading noticeably.
The soft, doe foot applicator allows for effortless application of the ILIA Beauty Liquid Powder Matte Eye Tint directly to your eyelids. Blending it out seamlessly using your fingertip takes only a few seconds. Alternatively, for more control, use a dome-shaped eyeshadow brush instead of applying the cream shadow directly with the applicator. The brush helps in creating a subtle layer of product, enabling precise placement exactly where you desire.
It is recommended to reach your preferred intensity of pigment in a single layer rather than gradually building it up. Determine this by regulating the quantity of product on the applicator. I have this product in the shade Aster, which is a lovely delicate lilac colour that I thoroughly enjoy. The tint’s formula is smooth, creamy, and comfortable and dries down very quickly.
Despite enjoying the product initially, I won’t repurchase the ILIA Beauty Liquid Powder Matte Eye Tint due to the burning sensation it causes on my eyelids. After using it for several months, I developed an allergic reaction, and my eyelids became progressively drier and burned. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this product despite the positive aspects it offers.
